Sarah Palin Gets History of Paul Revere Wrong on Video

Sarah Palin's lack of knowledge on American History was never so apparent as it was yesterday as she gives a very different take on Paul Revere's ride through the streets, according to N.Y Magazine.

Palin's rolling bus tour brought her to Boston where she was asked about Paul Revere's famous ride. She looked like she wanted to crawl behind the counter of the Deli she was in, rather than answer this question. It was apparent that Palin was not sure about this historic ride. She stuttered her way through a Sarah Palin explanation:

See Sarah Palin's explanation of Paul Revere's ride HERE.

"He who warned, uh, the British that they weren't going to be taking away our arms uh by ringing those bells and making sure as he's riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be secure and we were going to be free and we were going to be armed."

Watching Palin struggling to try and answer this question, one could almost feel the embarrassment for her. Palin was in Boston and was visting an area of The Freedom Trail, which is probably why the reporter asked her about Paul Revere's ride in the first place. The Freedom Trail is a 2.5 mile red path that weaves through Boston's downtown area that leads to 16 significant historic sites. The path is made mostly of the old colonial brick.

Palin has demonstrated her lack of knowledge with geography in the past, when she didn't know that Africa was a continent and she could not name the countries in North America.

OMG!!! This is actually painful to watch. I mean, I really dislike this woman and most all the things she stands for, but to watch her making a total fool of herself, is almost sad, and to think that a lot of people think she should be President of the United States. What does that tell you about all those good folks, and even worse, what does it tell you about the state of the Republican party?
