Sarah Palin Going Rogue

An Inside Look at the Woman Behind the Book

Bobbi Leder
Sarah Palin's new book Going Rogue: An American Life is gaining more popularity than the presidential election, but is it a worthy read? Palin, the once Republican Vice Presidential hopeful, is known more for her interview with Katie Couric; her almost son-in-law, Levi Johnston; and her glasses, but few people know the real Sarah Palin hence the reason she decided to publish the book. After all, isn't she entitled to get her side of the story out there as well? Palin, the former Governor of Alaska, is a down-to-earth gal who just wanted to set the record straight.

Palin's recent interview on the Oprah Winfrey show showed the public that she is not a diva but her book digs even deeper. In an interview with People Magazine, Palin said she was not happy with the statement the McCain camp released on her behalf when announcing Bristol's pregnancy. Instead Palin would have like to have taken that opportunity to discuss the teen pregnancy problem. Other pot shots are also thrown at the McCain staffers in her book. It is obvious that Palin was less than thrilled with the way the McCain campaign tried to control her image.

Sarah Palin also openly discusses her youngest child, Trig, who was born with Down's syndrome. The Palin family is teaching Trig sign language since he is unable to talk at this time. He apparently already knows the sign for milk which sounds like a great start. The irony is that Trig will most likely grow up with his nephew, Tripp, as his brother since they are practically the same age. Tripp's mother, Bristol Palin, isn't staying at home doing nothing either; the 19 year-old is taking business courses and working at a doctor's office although her dream is to open up a coffee shop; guess the business courses will help with that.

So how does Sarah Palin feel about Levi Johnston? Well, she's not too proud of some of the things he has said and done lately but at the end of the day, he's still the father of her grandson. In her People Magazine interview, Palin said she feels sorry for Levi because he's kind of a lost soul at the moment. Bristol, Levi's ex, is apparently taking the moral high ground and not saying anything.

So if you want to know the real story about Sarah Palin, what happened during the 2008 Presidential campaign, and why she said the things she did, pick up a copy of her book.

It amazes me how much she is despised & disrespected by the left..and mainly for personal reasons. The antics is not what surprises me..it is how she had to defend herself & was compared to the TOP of the Democratic ticket during the campaign lol and her creds & experience surpassed the winner..
