Sarah Palin: Maverick's Gone Maverick on the Maverick!

Okay, so it seems the Republican Party has finally found a scapegoat in case of a possible McCain -Palin loss and guess what, It just might be SARAH PALIN !!!

With about 10 days or so left in the 2008 election, my prediction seems to be coming to fruition. If you did not get to check out my interview with The G-Man two days after Palin's VP selection, I predicted that Sarah Palin would either become Lois Lane or the sacrificial lamb. If anyone has worked in the corporate culture for a considerable amount of time, you've learned the term - CYA (cover your ass). See, this is what happens when that high project or assignment is on the table at your company or firm. To all the "shirts" working at the firm, saliva begins running down their mouths because this one could mean bonuses, a promotion and quite possibly the corner office or access to the corporate jet. For the chance at all the luxuries, everyone vies for a spot with "Dream Team" working on the project/assignment. In some cases, there might even be "blood on the boardroom floor" as folks begin cutting the throats of trusted friends and associates to get the lead role or a spot on the team.

Now, generally everyone involved may not be qualified - BUT they probably are in the right networks and have schmoozed their way into the inner circle and ultimately the key decision-maker. The problem with this sort of arrangement is that there are people who do not question the status quo and go along to get along. What also "sucks" about this sort of group is that EVERYONE is generally in Survivor mode and thus in it for THEMSELVES and not the ultimate success of the TEAM.

Enter the slogan; "There Is no I in TEAM!" For those of us ladies that have watched Sarah Palin parade her new baby, teenage daughter and rest of her family in front of the world stage - at a time when her family seemed to have needed her the most - we will just say refer to previous slogan. I mean even some men resign power jobs to "spend more time with family."

Let me be straight, "Nobody's hatin' on Palin's" meteoric rise nor is this an attempt to minimize a woman's ability to achieve ANYTHING that a Man can, but as women we have come to the realization that we must prioritize - and put our ambitions aside sometimes - until our care-giving days can be balanced out with our work days. I also state here once again that Hillary Clinton waited until daughter Chelsea was independent before she ran for the office of President. Finally, I will also state that women looking to balance work and family are the reason home-based and female run businesses have grown exponentially over the last decade. It is this quest for balance - and understanding the importance of a woman's role as wife and mother - that drew questions about Palin's persona and motives.

Now, I'm certainly not saying that corporate culture cannot continue to thrive - but what has happened with the crash of Wall Street and other traditionally male-dominated bastions, tells us that perhaps the "fellas" might need to begin defining the concept of TEAM and ultimately WINNING. Is a WIN defined by uncounted dead bodies in one's path, is it more toys or sacrifice of self and family? Is it using whoever you can (by any means necessary) - to achieve a goal?

Sarah Palin - is truly "one of the boys" as she has claimed from the get go! She is a "Maverick" who has gone against her party leaders to achieve her goals, she was nick-named "Sarah Barracuda" on the B-BALL Court for a reason, Sarah Palin Is excited to leave her husband and family behind as she goes to "hunt" for their dinner. Sarah Palin is a woman who has told us she will take on a challenge without "blinking an eye." Finally, we were warned by the Librarian and many others in Alaska - that when you are on Sarah's "Shit List" you better watch out!

Now, knowing all of this, the Republican Party promoted and celebrated her and hailed her character traits as the person to run next to John McCain - and ultimately capture the vote of all those "angry" Hillary Clinton supporters. Personally, I could have recommended women like Elizabeth Dole, Carly Fiorini, Meg Whitman and others (who probably understand how the corporate/political game is played but may not be as Sexy as Sarah perhaps) - Anywho, The Republican Party selected Sarah Palin, asked us to "Drink The Kool-Aid" and may now find themselves overdosing and stuck with their historic decision. So, my question is, why is a McCain adviser surprised and making statements like: "She is a diva. She takes no advice from anyone, She does not have any relationships of trust with any of us, her family or anyone else."

I'd just like to tell Sarah P, from one sista to another, PSST - this just might be the set-up of a lifetime the big CYA the "Dream Team" might be working on - in case of failed McCain Presidential Run.

And to the McCain advisers claiming that Sarah P might have gone "Rogue" on them; Damn it - Sarah Palin Is "A Maverick" What the hell do you expect from her ?!?!?!? - And buddy, You just better not get on her bad side!!!!

Go Sarah, Save Yourself - And, Drill, Baby Drill.......
