Sarah Palin Resignation a Brilliant Move

Sarah Palin's announcement that she is stepping down from office came in as a surprise to many in the Washington circles and to many in the elite media. It was an unconventional move, unexpected from a politician.

Why would a person who is being literally worshiped by the Republican base, and who is being hailed as the next Reagan by millions of loyal supporters, make such a shocking move? While at the first thought, it may look like a "political death" move, a thorough analysis indicates that it may be a brilliant and smart move, which may pay off big time, to both her, and the GOP, if successful.

It's undisputed that Sarah Palin has the same "Rock Star Celebrity" appeal, as our President, Barack Obama. She appeals and impresses millions in the Republican circles, to the same extent Barack Obama appeals and impresses millions in the Democratic circles. She has proved, time and again, that she could pull the same amount of crowd, in any event headed by her, as Barack Obama could pull, in an event headed by him.

It is a known and established fact that Barack Obama, before announcing his run for office of President, had very minimal and limited experience. The majority of his experience was that of a "Community Organizer". He barely had any foreign policy experience, or knowledge. This fact was evident in the initial debates he had with Hillary Clinton, in which she killed him, in each and every debate. The only foreign policy experience he had was gained as a result of multiple debates with Hillary, which ran across months, in an extended Primary. He announced his run for Presidency, after just spending 145 business days as a Senator, too little an experience by any standards. The only Executive experience he had was running a campaign for 2008 elections.

It's also undisputed that Sarah Palin has more Executive experience than Barack Obama, given that she actually had a real job of a governor, and excelled in it. She has the same amount of Foreign Policy experience, as Barack Obama had, when he started running for office. While she might have committed some gaffes during 2008 campaign days, it was much minimal, when compared to the gaffes that Joe Biden had committed, and is still committing every day as Vice President. Her gaffes were certainly not worse than what Barack Obama had committed, when he said that our country had 57 states, and when he made a speech not knowing the difference between "Memorial Day" and "Veteran's day". The media was almost in bed with Obama, and time and again, ignored his gaffes, and lack of experience. The media also never bothered about uncountable number of Biden's gaffes, and never questioned his credibility.

Given the ridiculous media bias against her, and the fact that media refuses to accept her experience as Governor of Alaska, while glorifying the prior experience of Barack Obama, she is surely not going to be successful as a Presidential candidate for 2012, if she is to complete her term as Governor in Alaska. The media pundits will keep insisting that being the Governor of Alaska doesn't give her as much experience, as being a Chicago Community Organizer.

If she is to fight against the media, which is trying to put down her "Same as 2008 Barack Obama" experience, she is better off, spending more time in the lower 48 states, and hitting the ground hard across the country, and speaking out day after day, against Barack Obama's policies.

Alaska is so far away from the mainland that, if she is to continue in Alaska as Governor, and finish her term, she will not be able to concentrate much on national politics, travel around the country, and give speeches at every small town, and help build up a huge coalition of support, for opposing Obama's policies.

The media target her, and labels her as being unfaithful to Alaskans, even if she is to get out of Alaska for a single day, for Autism fundraiser event in NY, or for pro-life fundraiser event in Indiana, as a sitting Governor. With her resignation, after July 26^th, she is free to do whatever she chooses. She could get a major prime time TV show, if she wants, and talk day after day, against Obama's policies, and prove her credentials and substance, and answer her critics, and at the same time, head a massive conservative movement.

Or, she could just work on traveling around the country, giving speeches in every small town, relating to the people, and causing a massive explosion of conservative movement against Obama's destructive policies. Or, she could just work on getting the 2010 Republican candidates elected, by raising huge amount money for them, and speaking on their behalf, making them win, thereby earning their goodwill, which will, in return, help her secure the 2012 nomination. In addition to any of these options, she could also earn millions in "Bill Clinton style speech events", and thus build up her bank balance, which will come in handy, in case of an extended Primary fight against Romney. It should be noted that Hillary was in a position to lend herself money during an extended Primary fight, because she was a millionaire, but Sarah Palin is one among us, the middle class Americans, and is not a millionaire!

She has so many options in front of her, and this resignation is a brilliant move for her to emerge on the national scene. It is also a brilliant move for the GOP. GOP has been lacking a leader in the lower 48 states, one who could pull as much crowd as her, or as much as Obama. The party will benefit a lot in fund raising for 2010 races, if she has more time to spend in lower 48 states. With her hitting the road in lower 48 states, the party will be able to effectively voice its opposition to the Obama policies, which is quadrupling our national debt, and imposing generational theft on our children, and is spending more than the sum of all spending by all Presidents combined, from George Washington to George Bush.

Alaskans still love her, and knows that she cares about Alaska so much, that she doesn't want to spend millions of their tax dollars on defending ridiculous and frivolous lawsuits, launched against her, by Obama supporters, with the intention of bankrupting her, and her state. They know that she doesn't want to be spending their tax dollars, and receiving her salary from them, when she is traveling to lower 48 states frequently, for national level issues, which is where she is needed now, to fight against Obama's policies.

They know that she is not like Barack Obama, who started running for President, just 4 months after he was elected for Senate, and received thousands as salary from Illinois tax payers, for months, without actually doing any work for them, and instead was running around the country, for his career. They know that, the amount of work she did for Alaska in just one term, is almost equal to the amount of work that other Governor's of the state had taken two terms to do.

Brilliant move, Sarah! If you can hit the road in lower 48 states, and show us that you are as good as Romney or Newt, in substance, and in debating Obama's policies, you will earn the 2012 nomination, given your undisputable Republican base appeal! If you can successfully pull off a huge, mega-scale conservative movement, in opposing Obama's policies, under your leadership, you will earn the 2012 nomination!
