Sarah Palin Takes on John Kerry!

John Kerry was speaking to a group of liberal business leaders in Washington two days ago. At the time of his speech, Mark Sanford, the governor of South Carolina, was reportedly missing. At that time of his speech, rumors also had it that Mark Sanford had gone for a solitary hike on the Appalachian Trail, without anybody, including his wife, having any knowledge of where he is, and when he will be back. John Kerry wanted to take a dig at Governor of South Carolina, but he ended up bashing the Governor of Alaska. During the speech, he said "Too bad if a governor had to go missing it couldn't have been the governor of Alaska. You know, Sarah Palin.''.

Here is the case of a reputed Senator, a former Presidential candidate, wishing that a governor of a state had gone missing, just because she posed the single greatest threat to the party that he belongs to, and just because he disagrees with her on almost every policy and principle. Here is yet another case of John Kerry, revealing his true character of an arrogant snob, wishing that the governor of a state, who is in no way related to the news of the hour, had gone missing, just because he is scared of her soaring popularity.

Just hours before John Kerry gave this speech, there was a national survey conducted and released by "Pew Research Center for the People & Press", which showed that Sarah Palin remains very popular, and 73 percent of the republicans have favorable opinion of her. The poll also showed that only 57 percent of the republicans have a favorable opinion of Mitt Romney, and only 55 percent of republicans have a favorable opinion of Newt Gingrich. Michael Steele came in a distant fourth in the poll, with only 28 percent of republicans having a favorable opinion of him. There have been other polls in the recent months which showed that she would be the clear front-runner, if the 2012 republican primaries were to be held today. A recent autism charity event that she headed in a small town of Auburn in upstate NY attracted 23000 people, almost the same sized crowds that President Obama would have attracted for similar events. She is an undisputed a rock star celebrity in the Republican Party, just like how Obama is in the Democratic Party.

The liberals view her as the only republican who can appeal to the general American public, and match the crowd pulling abilities of Obama. The democrats know very well that, if the republicans were to nominate a less popular candidate like Romney or Newt in 2012, they wouldn't be able to match the fund raising and crowd pulling capabilities of Obama, and would lose to Obama, just like how McCain (and Democrat;s own Hillary) lost to him.

The statement by John Kerry conveying his wish that Governor of Alaska had gone missing, only reflects how nervous the democrats are about Governor Sarah Palin and her appeal.

Governor Sarah Palin, known in the republican circles as a "pit bull in lipstick", did have a classic reply to Senator Kerry's distasteful, arrogant statement implying that he wished she had gone missing. The governor, when asked about Kerry's remark said ""He looked quite frustrated and he looked so sad - I just wanted to reach out to the TV and say, 'John Kerry, why the long face?'".

Our politicians preach tolerance and practice hate. Benjamin Franklin once said that only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. We need to stop laughing at this behavior. We have all become monkeys. We do and say just what our particular Party says. We don't read, research, dialogue, or use common sense. Our Country is really in a mess, and it is scary to read the opinions of some of the people who blog. The main objective seems to be who can trash talk the best. It doesn't matter if you are a Republican, Democrat, Independent, or Libertarian, America should come first! I sincerely hope Obama is correct. I try very, very hard to make sense out of what he is doing and saying. However, I have taught government and history for 30 years, and, I see nothing new! I have read about what he is doing in History books. I have even taught the material. What he is doing is old as dirt! I do pray he has some magic touch; I do want him to be right! I lived a wonderful life on a mid
