Sarah Palin Victim or Barracuda?

Sarah Palin and Her Family Have Been Attacked Non Stop Since She was Nominated, Her Acceptance Speech at the Republican National Convention Belayed Those Claims

Sarah Palin, has been portrayed as a lying, flip-flopping, secessionist who is also said to have faked a pregnancy to cover a baby born to her pregnant daughter? It seems those detractors have no limit to how far they're willing to go, to dare I say, create controversy? After watching her obviously articulate speech on live coverage of the Republican National Convention by the Fox News Channel I couldn't help wondering how a debate between Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin would have played out, too bad we wont be seeing that one any time soon, Perhaps in 2012?

Seems the Democrats have tried to tell the country Sarah has very little experience as a politician, did Mr. Obama suddenly gain experience we don't know about? Sarah Palin served on the Wasilla City Council from 1992 to 1996, was elected mayor in Wasilla, Alaska from2002 to 2006, served as chair to the Alaska oil and gas conservation commission in 2003/2004, and went on to become the Governor of Alaska in 2006.

At 44, Sarah Palin, a mother of 5, wife of 20 years, and Governor has become the first woman ever to be nominated by the Republican Party for the Vice Presidency of the United States of America. One of many firsts for Sarah she is also the youngest candidate for that office and was the youngest Alaskan Governor.

Todd Palin, Sarah's husband of 20 years, an oil field production operator also owns a commercial fishing business. Sarah Palin has 5 children, her son Track the oldest, her daughters in descending order of age Bristol, Willow and Piper, then her youngest son Trig.

While researching the article I found that Wikipedia has had to lock off Sarah's page, and had a disclaimer that all information may not be correct, rumor has it someone tried "updating" the page without consent. Those crafty politicians, what will they think of next?

Sarah Palin's speech at the Republican National Convention, starting with the extremely long-standing ovation, was definitely a not to be missed moment. She competently and clearly stated her political experience and dismissed the attacks upon her one at a time, point by point. Sarah introduced her family, Telling the people her own son is headed for Iraq, as a member of the Army infantry and clarifying her stance on the war in Iraq.

When she introduced her youngest son Trig, a baby with Downs syndrome she clarified not only her points on pro life obviously, but also let the people who had disabled children know they had a friend possibly going to Capitol Hill.

Sarah Palin was articulate and well spoken, could be a very interesting race, only time will tell!

Most Presidential candidates have two to four years to learn the major domestic and international issues. Most VPs have had some experience in the Federal government. Sarah Palin does not have these qualifications. The panel of 9 Republicans and 3 Democrats concluded that Sarah Palin committed an abuse of power in Troupergate. I think that John McCain skipped the vetting process and chose Palin purely for popularity without regard for her lack of experience or troupergate. I think it is a reflection of McCain's poor judgement abilities. Lately, the negative talk of the McCain campaign has triggered some real anger among Republicans. McCain and Palin's talk of terrorists and Obama remind me of Governor George Wallace. I think they are unwittingly inciting possible riots and violence. And if violence does occur, the FBI should perform a criminal investigation of the intent of McCain and Palin.

Her family situation does not interest me, but her politics and record does. It has recently been revealed that she accepted some $25,000 in gifts from organizations such as mining lobbyists, while governor. While mayor she charged rape victims for their own rape kits (at a reported $1,200 each) and built a sports center on land the city did not own, causing legal and additional expenses for Wasilla. She has an atrocious record of cronyism. People should be hired for their experience and expertise, not because you went to school with them. You might be able to get away with that in the private sector, but when you are an elected official, that is a violation of the public trust.
