Sarah Silverman: Always Funny & Now Also Hits a Serious Note Speaking Out Against Gay Bullying

Julia Bodeeb
Sarah Silverman has always been the funniest female comic in my opinion. She has a radical wit and speaks her mind on even the most indelicate of topics. Silverman makes me laugh in a way no other female comic does.

Sarah Silverman: Saturday Night Live, Comedy Central, and Film Actress

Ms. Silverman was born in 1970. She was a writer and a performer on Saturday Night Live and performed on Comedy Central. Silverman had a part in "There's Something about Mary" too and also the movies "The Bachelor" and "Funny People."

And now Sarah Silverman is also speaking out about the bullying of gay teens in America. Kudos to you Sarah Silverman, for using your fame to try to help others. Too many gay teens are dying because they are being bullied and isolated.

Sarah Silverman notes that the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" (DADT) policy in the military sets a bad example. I agree with that. DADT is discriminatory. Every person should have equal access to every job. If the government is allowed to continue to discriminate against gay people who want a career in the military it sends a very negative message to all of America.

If businesses are not allowed to discriminate than why is the government? Discrimination against gays is too prevalent in our society. Why is America fighting so hard against gay marriage? Every human being should have the same rights in America. We should all be allowed to marry. It is not fair or humane to deny jobs or marriage to someone because they are gay.

Sarah Silverman has a dirty mouth but a clean mind. As opposed to a lot of her critics, whose mouths may never say a curse, but who are full of hate - and that's far worse.

Good article. Don't ask don't tell is stupid and should be stopped immediately.

i am glad celebrities are speaking out...it is a shame, however, that we feel we need to speak out when it shouldn't be happening at all....sad thing is, it will not end

Bullying is one of the most destructive behaviors there is. When others, and especially those in authoritative positions, stop turning a blind eye to the problem and deal with it effectively, maybe, just maybe it will decline.
