How is your daughter or the special little girl in your life doing with etiquette? Here are few areas that you can take note of to see if they are in need of continued training or even in need of a crash course. When they are sitting at the dinner table do they sit politely and chew their food carefully and completely before speaking? Do they place their napkin on their lap and do they know to keep their elbows off the table? That is just the tip of the iceberg. Are they demonstrating social graces? Do they speak discreately to others or do they blast the "truth" out their mouth? Do they announce the need to make a bowel movement or pee? Do they pass gas or belch? Do they call other children cruel names based on their weaknesses? There is a dire need for our children in America to be trained in etiquette and social graces.
Personally, my daughters attend Sarah's daughters which is located in Pennsauken, NJ. This program is assisting me as a Mom. I needed help in training my girls to move like princesses rather than little galloping ponies knocking over whatever they bumped into in life. I can say I have been desperate for this program. Watching TV was not teaching them the social graces that they need but rather it was fighting up against the very thoughts and behavior that I was expecting them to catch from being with me. I expected that just by being with me they would learn to look in the face of someone greeting them and respond with a smile and a hello. However, I learned that because of the other thoughts that they had spinning around in their heads they may or may not greet the other person at all. Yuck, I did not like the behavior that they were demonstrating. I needed help. I needed atiquette training for my girls before the teenage years hit and they began collecting all sorts of new behaviors. The Sarah's Daughters program offered at GateKeepers Ministries has helped me and my girls so very much. I highly recommend the program and can say first hand that the people who run this program are trained to help children behave properly. Check out the website GKMI.org and click on Sarah's Daughters if you are interested for your daughter or for other little girls that you care about. There is also a red carpet affair for this program so call soon and get your little girl involved. Help change the trend of bossy, bratty American girls and find a way to train your daughter correctly in the graces of life.
