Sarah's Ultimate Hickory Smoked Deli Sandwich, One of the Best Vegetarian Friendly Sandwiches You Will Ever Eat

Tofurky is a vegan/vegetarian friendly food brand that has been making waves all around the world for over 20 years. Located in Hood River, Oregon Tofurky has established itself as one of the best ethical food brands on the planet. One of my favorite Tofurky products is definitely the Hickory Smoked Deli Slices. Recently, I had the opportunity to put together one of the best sandwiches I have ever made using Tofurky's Hickory Smoked Deli Slices.

Sarah's Ultimate Hickory Smoked Deli Sandwich

-Multigrain Bread (2 slices)
-Garden Lettuce
-Tomatoes (2 slices)
-Artichoke Hearts (preferably marinated and you will need about 3)
-Red Onion (2 slices at the most)
-Garden Onion (2 onions diced into small pieces)
-Burgundy Olives (3 olives, sliced)
-Green Olives (2 olives, sliced)
-Mushrooms (3 mushrooms)
-Tofurky Hickory Smoked Deli Meat (2 slices)
-Smoked Gouda Cheese (1 slice)
-Swiss Cheese (1 slice)
-Munster Cheese (1 slice)
-Mayonnaise (2 tbsp.)
-Spicy Mustard (2 tbsp.)

First and foremost, you want to begin by laying out your two pieces of bread. Once you have done this, using a butter knife, you want to take 1 tbsp. of mayonnaise and spread it on top of one of the pieces. As you continue, go ahead and apply mayonnaise to the other piece. Then, you want to apply your spicy mustard the same way. Spread generously.

Now we can begin building Sarah's Ultimate Hickory Smoked Deli Sandwich. The first layer will consist of the garden lettuce. You don't need that much, but enough to apply to the sandwich. Secondly, you want to add your tomatoes. I would recommend 2 slices of tomato. I decided to use vined tomatoes, simply because I enjoy using them the most. As you continue, you want to use artichoke hearts. Marinated artichoke hearts are the best to use. For this sandwich, I used artichoke hearts by Native Forest.

Are you having fun yet? The time is now to slice a red onion. You want to only slice the onion twice. Too much can and possibly will overpower the sandwich. Then, you want to add the olives. For this sandwich I used 3 burgundy olives and 2 green olives. I sliced each one several times and used the result, on the sandwich. As you continue with building your sandwich, you want to add the mushrooms. I like to buy mushrooms pre-sliced in the produce section of Safeway, my local grocery store.

Once you have applied these ingredients, you can go ahead and adding the primary ingredient, which is Tofurky's Hickory Smoked Deli Slices. You want to add just 2. Once you have accomplished this, you can go ahead and add a slice of smoked Gouda cheese, followed by a slice of Swiss cheese and of course, a slice of Munster cheese.

You are finished. Now you can enjoy Sarah's Ultimate Hickory Smoked Deli Sandwich.
