Recently, we ate at 'Sara's Family Restaurant' located at 5792 Coventry Ln. ( just off of Jefferson Blvd.) in Southwest Fort Wayne. Sara's is a warm and cozy restaurant decorated with a home-style country feel.It has a cast iron stove and blue gingham checked curtains hanging on the windows. The theme of the restaurant is American Presidents. Pictures of our past presidents and other American decor are hung throughout the place. The tables have tic-tic-toe boards painted on them, along with the 'X & O' pieces to play the game. This comes in handy with young children.
The food at Sara's was delicious and prepared quickly. The most expensive priced meal on the menu is $12.99 and it is a N.Y. Strip with a salad, baked potato and your choice of side item. Most meals at Sara's are about $6.99 and Kids meals are about $2.99.
Sara's Family Restaurant features such favorites as fried pickles with ranch dipping sauce, chicken strips, spaghetti and meatloaf. Sara's serves Breakfast all day and has Indiana's largest selection of 'eggs benedict'. if you make it to Sara's in the summer months they have a special seasonal menu that features such summer favorites as Fried green tomatoes and fresh salads.
For those of us with a sweet tooth Sara's will satisfy that craving too. They have 'Rosie's Coconut Cream Pie', a featured dessert of the day and ice cream and sundaes are also available !
Sara's is definitely what we were looking for. A Family restaurant with a great cozy home style feel, great food , prepared quickly at an affordable price.Sara's is a restaurant everyone in the family can agree on.
Try Sara's Family Restaurant you will not be disappointed-Sara's is a great place to eat, where you can have a wide variety of choices for a great and affordable meal with your family.
