There is a part of Anaheim that few people know about. While most people venture into Anaheim for Disneyland or other popular attractions there is a whole little city within the city known as Little Arabia. Little Arabia has lots of Middle Eastern restaurants and bakeries. For those that did not grow up with Middle Eastern foods it can be an exciting experience trying out new foods. For those that did grow up on these kinds of foods it can be nice to find a place that serves all your favorite foods. One of the best of the bakeries in Little Arabia is Sakris Pastry.
Sakris Pastry can be found at 2424 West Ball Road in the Little Arabia section of Anaheim, California. With so many good Middle Eastern bakeries in the area to set yourself apart you have to specialize or have some particular food that sets you apart. Fortunately Sakris Pastry has some foods that set them apart from the other Middle Eastern bakeries in the area.

Sakris Pastry is a great place for people to get familiar with the Middle Eastern foods since many of the foods here are similar to Western foods. Sakris Pastry has some good pastries, tarts, cakes, and even tiramisu. These foods do not come across as overly ethnic if anything they do not seem to be Middle Eastern at all.

There are foods that are also popular Middle Eastern foods but even these tend to be popular foods that are more well known to Western eaters such as the great baklava they have. One of the things that Sarkis is most famous for is their baklava so if you love baklava this is the place in Little Arabia to come.

In terms of food and prices Sakris Pastry is pretty good. This place is always very popular because it is right next door to the popular Zankou and lots of people come here for desert. Zankou is possibly the best place to eat in all of Anheim's Little Arabia and is right next door. The combination of Zankou with desert at Sakris is very popular. Even if you don't want to sit down and get a full meal though a quick snack at Sarkis is great on its own.

Sine Sarkis Pastry is so good and so cheap it is at least giving Sarkis a try. Worst case you spend a few bucks to find you don't like this kind of food. If you do find you don't like Sarkis Pastry it will be because you just don't like Middle Eastern food it wont be because Sarkis makes their food bad. Sarkis is even less of a risk because they have many foods that are also very Western. You can try something familiar to you and something new so at least you will have one good desert but you will probably end up with two good deserts.
