Ding, ding, ding...round 1 I step into the ring and out comes Satan himself. And oh my goodness he has such tempting offers for me if I will only accept him. Ooh, he is offering me the chance at some good old fashioned juicy gossip, slander, and lies. Hey, it looks so tempting, should I go for it. Then I turn to Jesus, He looks as if to say "This is your choice my child, but let me show you what you have to lose in the process." I turn, and there is my family and friends and other loved ones. That nails it, and Satan goes down. Round one goes to Jesus and me.
Ding, ding, ding...round 2 Here comes old Satan again. This time he has got fame and fortune for me. He says that I will have all the money I have ever desired, and everybody will know who I am. I will have mansions, yachts, nice cars, and so much more. All I have to do is follow him. Oh man, it looks so inviting. What do I do now? I look back to Jesus. Now He is standing there with angels who are holding different signs. One says "pride", one says "joy", one says "happiness", one says "peace", one says "comfort", and one says "forgiveness". Wow, now those are things I have always enjoyed, but now I will lose them if I accept Satan's offer. But, oh my all the money I could ever dream of. What a disaster.
Then, Jesus is standing there alone and He is holding a sign that simply states "Me". Oh no, I would lose Him also. Alright, round two has now gone to me. Satan is out of this round.
Ding, ding, ding...round 3 Gee whiz, Satan is back for more. And now he has even more to offer. On top of the last two offers he is putting up for grabs, letting me do absolutely anything I want to do. There are not strings attached. I can gamble, cheat, steal, lie, gossip, and enjoy all kinds of other things.
But then I turn to Jesus. There he stands with my family, friends, and other loved ones; there are all the angels from before also; and now Jesus is holding a large sign that says "My Father, Me, eternal life, and Heaven".
That does it. Round 3 is now also mine, and Satan is completely knocked out.
Oh, I know Satan will soon regain consciousness and he will be coming after me again for another round. And before I go to be with Jesus, I am sure there will be plenty of other rounds. But I have to say this, Satan may even will a few of the rounds; but there is no way he is going to win the championship.
