Satirical Tulip

Poem

Kady Birdwhistle
The floodgates open to my ears
Of things heard and felt
Endless brooks blabbling

I SAY TO MYSELF WHAT IS THIS LIFE
Nothing more than a satirical tulip

The sweet smell of incense
Prescence surounds my humble
Home feeling the fires of

OUTSIDE DAY I say to myself
What is this
Nothing more than a satirical tulip

The scourge of my mother's genuis
Whispering ears to do right
In every bit and paper of life

INSIDE ME I say to myself
What is this
Nothing more than a satirical tulip

No beauty- man can capture me
I'm the flitting midge or moth
Casting myself against the light

OUTSIDE MYSELF I say what
What is this
Nothing more than a satirical tulip

There is no whip that can silence me
Though the tongue can be its own
Master when times are dull-grey

INSIDE EVERYTHING I say and say
What can this be
It is nothing more than a satirical tulip

So I rest

My

Case

Today
