This little pizza joint is unbelievable and more than just a pizza joint. You can order anytime from 11 am to 4 am and they deliver to the ocean City area, Fenwick, as well as the beach! So for those of you that are on the beach and don't want to leave, grab your cell phone and have something delivered right to you!
Captain's Pizza and Subs serve appetizers such as a fried shrimp basket, calamari, and even bruschetta. Now I don't know about you, but where I am from, in Pittsburgh, you can't order a fried shrimp basket from a pizza shop. So of course, I ordered this savory appetizer. For $6.99 you receive about 30 medium sized fresh golden shrimp and plenty of French fries to go around.
They also have a variety of hot and cold subs. Pay $6 and get an eight inch sub or pay $8, only two dollars more, and get a twelve inch sub. The Italian Sausage Parmesan hot sub is out of this world!
If an eight inch or twelve inch sub isn't big enough to satisfy your hunger, you have to try one of their burgers. All of their burgers are one half pound of Black Angus ground chuck and served on a Kaiser roll with any toppings that you choose and for a reasonable price from $5 to $8 depending on which delicious burger type you want to try.
If burgers aren't really fulfilling your craving, you could always try a fresh leafy salad, a Boli, or one of the Captain's overwhelming cheese steak subs... or you can choose the original standby...pizza. You can choose a 14 inch, 16 inch, or 28 inch pizza. Our main choice was ordering the Tropical Italian Delight Pizza which had a thin crust, very little sauce, but plenty of fresh ham, pineapple, mushrooms, and onions. For $16.99 for a 16 inch pizza there is a lot of leftovers!
But if you are looking for the ultimate pizza that is unique to Captain's you have to try "The Works". It's a 28 inch pizza with pepperoni, sausage, ham, salami, ground beef, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, black olives, extra cheese, and anchovies for $50.99. That's a lot of pizza!
Okay, okay, I know that is a lot of food, if it is too much or your just not in the mood for pizza, you could always try their Marinara, Lasagna, or Baked Ziti with garlic bread. Again, where can you get really good Italian food for under nine dollars?
After indulging in one or more of the above meals, there is always room for dessert such as apple pie or cheesecake. Spend an extra $3 on your order and add one of these desserts, you'll thank me later!
Delivery is free and really quick, you'll only have to wait about thirty minutes. This pizza place is awesome and inexpensive. I highly recommend going to Captain's Pizza and Subs the next time you are in the Ocean City, Maryland area.
