Saturday Night Live the Best of Cheri Oteri DVD Review

Cheri Oteri came to Saturday Night Live when they were trying to get past the "Bad Boy" Era. From 1995 to 2000, Cheri made SNL hilarious, with outrageous characters and impersonations.

Scenes

Spartan Cheerleaders- A good opener with Cheri's best character. They are cheering on the swimming team. I give it a 8/10

Burger Castle- A great sketch with Cheri telling everybody to Simmer Down Na. Tobey Maguire plays as her manager. I give it a perfect rating

Crazy Couple- This is Cheri and Chris Kattan, who make alot of sexual references in front of Sarah Michelle Geller and her boyfriend. I give it a perfect rating

Barbara Walters- A montage of Cheri's Barbara Walters scenes. I give it a perfect rating

Prescription Overload- Cheri plays as an old lady, who needs alot of prescriptions from the pharmacy. John Goodman makes this more funny as the confused pharmacist. I give it a 8/10

Morning Latte- Cheri and Will Ferrell our dull talk show host. They have Britney Spears on there show, who made a tell all book about Disney. I give it a 7/10

Mrs Delvecchio- Christopher Walken makes this funny with his snowblower. I give it a 8/10

Office Skank- Cheri is funny, as her skank character tries to hit on everybody. John Goodman is in here as well. I give it a perfect rating

Judge Judy- Cheri does a good Judge Judy, but not good enough for the actual Judge Judy. I give it a 8/10

Mixed Scenes- A funny montage of Cheri's characters. I give it a 7/10

Spartan Cheerleaders- This time the cheerleaders are doing a cheer for the parade. I give it a 7/10

Weekend Update- Cheri is Joy Lipton, who talks about Valentines Day gifts with Colin Quinn. I give it a 8/10

Vintage Couple- Cheri and Will are shown as an older couple, then shown as a younger couple from the 70s. I give it a 7/10

Cockpit Disturbance- Cheri plays as a crazy girl, who acts like child. This annoys Chevy Chase's pilot, to the point were he wants to crash the plane. I give it a perfect rating

Leg Up- Cheri is Debbie Reynolds, who makes fun at Mariel Hemingways character. I give it a 7/10

Spartan Cheerleaders- A great way to close out with a montage of Cheri's best character. I give it a perfect rating

Extras

Dress Sketch- This is the Morning Latte, were Cheri and Will's characters diss Saving Private Ryan. Shaq and Kelsey Grammer are also in this sketch. I give it a 8/10

Audition- Cheri does her Joy Lipton, Mrs Devechecchio, and the crazy child who wants to be a co pilot.

Cheri on Conan- Cheri was on briefly who talks to Conan about flying around with cats.

After watching this I'd say this is one of the best of dvds out there. The scene selection was near perfect. The extra features were great. SNL really took there time putting this together. They showed how great Cheri was on there show. This would be a good buy for any fan of SNL, or of Cheri Oteri.
