It is almost impossible to imagine farm fresh produce being available and fresh smack dab in the middle of the cold and blustery winter season, but if you happen to be in the vicinity of the Amish farmlands in the heart of Pennsylvania in the sleepy community of Middletown, then it is in fact imaginable. Everything from fresh fruits and vegetables to homemade Amish baked goods and products can be found at one huge location that continues to grow yearly.

Since 1957 Pennsylvania's Largest Indoor-Outdoor Farmers and Flea Market has been accommodating the community each and every weekend with name brand clothing and electronics, as well as unique or hard to find items. Early risers will benefit the most, as the pickens' at Saturday's Market become slim by noon, and with over three-hundred indoor vendors to choose from; you might want to wear comfortable shoes.

Saturday's Market is fondly known by locals as The Big "M", and big is a definite understatement. It is hard to miss the big brown and white half a century old landmark that proudly sits in Londonderry Township in the middle of Amish farmlands and Dutch country. The indoor space alone is the size of two football fields, and there is an additional 20 acres set aside for parking. The outdoor farmer's market is set up with over 500 vendors selling fresh food, baubles, trinkets, and everything else under the sun that you can imagine, but the outdoor farmers and flea market is only open on Sundays.

Owner Rod Rose states that the mission of the indoor-outdoor farmers and flea market is to keep track of all items sold at the Market and adjust where need be to the changing needs of our customers. They have administered their experience and knowledge of farmers and flea markets, and the variables contributing to their success. With that in mind they have built a solid reputation as Pennsylvania's premier Market.

Specialty Foods from gourmet coffee to Pennsylvania Dutch Stoltzfus quality meat products can be found at the indoor-outdoor famers and flea market, as well as Chinese and Korean cuisine. Fresh lemonade, homemade pies, organic produce, fresh fruit and vegetables, honey, bbq ribs & chicken, fresh cheeses and candies are also on the list of things to sample when visiting the unique shopping establishment.

The bustle of shoppers is evident by the cars and buggies in the parking lot, and it is normally at full speed by early morning with well over 100,000 enthusiastic visitors frequenting Pennsylvania's largest indoor-outdoor farmers and flea market all year long. The enticing smells of freshly roasted coffee and right out of the oven baked goods wafting under your nose begging you to give them a try is only part of the inviting atmosphere.

Shoppers drive from nearby Hershey, Harrisburg, Elizabethtown, Lancaster and York, Pennsylvania to Middletown to find that perfect or one of a kind holiday, birthday, and anniversary gifts for that someone special. Everything from quality gold and silver jewelry to Harley Davidson and NASCAR collectibles can be found all under one roof. Inexpensive and hard to find electronics, sporting goods, religious tracts, Amish quilts, medieval swords, coins, and furniture can be located both outside and throughout the indoor building.
