Save on Christmas, Hanukah, and Any Holiday Decorations! After Christmas/ Hanukah Savings!

Tips on Saving

Zach Golt
Most people go out and buy Christmas decorations during the Christmas time, but do you ever notice that after Christmas or the Holidays everything that has blue, green and red are on sale for about fifty to seventy percent off of the regular price. That is the best time to shop! After the holidays when stores are trying to get rid of their holiday section is the best time to bargain shop because that is when you can buy a lot of holiday supplies for under forty dollars. It is in your best interest to buy after the holidays are over. When you buy after the holidays you have brand new things for the next holiday that are brand new and ready for the next time. If you keep up with this tradition you can slowly buy surely build up your holiday décor for years to come!

I like to go scope around at least one or two days before the holidays because items are already about sixty percent off at this time and that means that after December it will be even cheaper than the price you are looking for in advance. A lot of stores give coupons out where you can bring your receipt back and receive the extra percentage off even when you already opened your stuff you just need to bring in your receipt and coupon and they can usually adjust it. Electronic stores sometimes do a two week type of savings. If you find a store that has the item you want that is cheaper they will usually adjust it, and sometimes they give a little percentage off for your trouble. There are two electronic stores that are well known and that I love going to because of the rewards (zone, points).

A lot of stores carry holiday wrapping paper and if you are like me you also like holiday cards. These two things are already regularly priced at five dollars at the most so when you run into these bargains you can find yourself paying almost a dollar or less for a lot of wrapping paper cheap holiday cards that can be used for any year because they don't have the year printed into them just because of this just make sure you look at what the card says before you purchase it for the next year because you do not want to give out cards from 1997 for 2009!

I hope these tips help you save after the holiday! Stay smart, and shop when the time is right! Happy New Year.
