Any more today everything is about trying to save money. Let's face it the cost of goods every where has been raising, predominately because of the cost of fuel. We have cut back over and over even on the quantity of food that we buy any more. Yes, it really can be worth watching those pennies. Can the Grocery Game help you save money? It's new to me. I had never heard of it before. But there must be some savvy shoppers out there, because there were 9,900 searches on the term Grocery Game!

Let's check out the Grocery Game and see what some of benefits can be. Incidentally Teri's Grocery Game has expanded and is available in all 50 states. The Grocery Game makes the claim that they can save you money each month. So, that's a good way to start. Isn't it?

How the Grocery Game works basically is this. You will get a list of the lowest priced products for your local supermarket and that list is then matched up with manufacture coupons and any weekly specials. I see saving a lot of time here, just matching all of this up can be a lot of work. With everyone seeming to be busier and busier than ever before, you could save time, then this might be a positive aspect for you.

The information that you are provided even highlights product items that they consider to be the rock bottom price that an item will drop to. According to the recommendations when an item hits this price, it is the best time to use that special coupon you have been saving. Yes, I guess that sounds like some sound advice. Like getting some bang for your buck!

There system recommends stockpiling some items when there at there lowest price. This is sound advice to me. I have recently totally re-evaluated our grocery shopping even more since all of the price increases. Generally I shop at a big box store and a little grocery market chain. It turns out whether it's per chain or manufacture that there are sale patterns. Every so many weeks, certain items or manufactured goods will be put on sale.

To illustrate this fact, I go online every week and check the ads for my little grocery market and began to notice that a gallon of milk would be put on sale about every four to five weeks. By the way did you know that you can freeze a gallon of milk? You simply remove about a half cup of milk from the gallon; slip it into the freezer and your set. We have never noticed any taste difference or change in consistency.

The point being is to watch for sale patterns. The regular price I pay for milk at the little market is $4.00 per gallon. When I know the sale is coming up we purchase five gallons at $2.50 a gallon! So, for a five week period if you pay there regular price for five gallons, that's costing $20.00 and at the sale price of $2.50 a gallon, that's costing $12.50. This is a saving's of $7.50. That amount to me is a major saving's and that's only one product.

The web site for the Grocery Game has all kinds of neat tips for shopping patterns, coupon use etc. It even comes complete with a very active forum. You can certainly check them out with a four week trial for $1.00. If you like them and wish to use their services it is $10.00 for eight weeks for one store.

You might want to pop over to the Grocery Game website and see if you don't come away with some fresh ideas about how to approach that next shopping trip. Maybe the Grocery Game is just what you have been looking for. You can find it at http://www.grocerygame.com
