Save Lives with Reusable Shopping Bags

Usually when people walk to their cars carrying plastic bags heaped with groceries, they don't stop to think about where the bags had been or what might happen to the bags after they're thrown away. I definitely didn't think about such matters when I would walk into a grocery store and watch the cashier fill a bunch of bags with my purchases. Of course, this was before I learned that plastic and paper bags weren't all that great. Since this discovery, I began to use reusable shopping bags.

To be more exact, plastic and paper bags are corrupting the environment. Do you ever give those bags a second thought or wonder where the bags might end up when you throw them away? If you don't, you're not alone. Many plastic bags linger in the streets, laze about in sea turtle bellies, or release toxic chemicals in landfills for hundreds of years while they decompose. According to Active Cabarete, plastic bags are often mistaken for jelly fish when sea turtles go out hunting, resulting in internal infections, blockages, starvation, and death. Plastic bags, because so many are manufactured each year, also waste loads of oil. Even more depressing, most store clerks give away these choking devices like they're tissue paper, bagging groceries with several bags at a time when one bag would have been enough. The cause of this is probably because plastic bags are so surprisingly cheap.Though, wouldn't it also save money to advise customers to use reusable shopping bags instead?

Though some people may favor paper bags, they really aren't all that different. Because paper bags are heavier than plastic bags, it takes a lot more energy to manufacture them according to Reusable Bags Reviews. Billions of trees also have to suffer because of paper bags. If that's not enough, paper bags are a waste of space in landfills because of their large mass.

Now, if you buy reusable shopping bags, you'll help the environment and make your shopping experience easier! No more groceries all over the pavement because your plastic bags ripped. I use reusable shopping bags at the moment, and I bring them with me when I'm out shopping. I just leave the empty reusable shopping bags in the trunk of my car, roll the groceries with a carriage over to the car, and fill up the empty bags. Reusable shopping bags are definitely a lot better to manage, and there's less clutter when searching for groceries. Not only that, but reusable shopping bags can be washed, and they can withstand more weight than plastic or paper bags can.

Overall, it's a wonderful feeling to know that you're both helping the environment and making your life easier. Why don't you buy a reusable shopping bag?
