Save Money on Audiobooks by Joining an Audiobook Club

Dee Bovis
Audiobook clubs have a plethora of benefits to them, but the most obvious is the low cost. It is extremely cheap to rent out as many audio books as you can in a month if you set up a membership with an audiobook club. Much like movies has Netflix and Blockbuster online, audiobooks are taking a similar route.

Every audiobook club has its own prices, which makes research essential. One website may offer unlimited audio books to be checked out at one time for the same price as another website only allowing one book to be checked out at one time. If you take the time to research, you will find a deal that works best for you.
If you're not really into audio books, then joining a club probably isn't for you. That would be like joining Netflix and only renting one movie a month; it just doesn't make sense. But if you enjoy listening to audiobooks then there is nothing better than joining a club.

Essentially what happens with an audiobook club is that you first have to register and become a member. Once you are a member you will have access to thousands of audiobooks to rent. What makes the deal so enticing is that you can rent as many books as you want, depending on the plan you sign up for. Each plan will have its own pricing and as I said above, each website has different pricings as well.

Once you determine your plan, it's time to begin selecting your audiobooks to rent out. You will keep a queue of a number of different books so that when you return one, the company can send out your next title. Generally, as soon as you return your title you will receive your next one within a couple business days of the company receiving your old title.

If you enjoy listening to audiobooks but don't plan to listen to as many audiobooks as possible, go with a smaller plan. At JiggerBug.com they have a plan for $14.95 where you get one book at a time. If you want to consistently rotate the books out, there is a plan that gives you two books at a time for $24.95 and even five books at a time for $39.95.

So what is the point in joining an audiobook club? If you enjoy listening to audio books, there is no better way to save money and enjoy the plethora of titles on the market. If you were to rent audiobooks apart from a club, it might cost you $20-30 to rent out three or four. If you join an audiobook club, you have access to as many books as you want for the same price or cheaper. And because of this, audiobook clubs can save you a ton of money.

Sounds great. I love audiobooks both for long trips and when driving to and from work.
