Save Money on Electricity and Water Conservation Tips : Go Green
This Article Will Help You Save Money on Electricity. It Also Shows Water Conservation Tips
Have you run the Dishwasher when it's not fully loaded? Or perhaps, the Washer when there is still room for more clothes? Well I sure have! This was before I read an article which opened my eyes. This is when I decided to follow one of many simple Water Conservation Tips and Save Money On Electricity. When appliances like Dishwashers and Washing machines are not loaded fully, you are actually wasting both Electricity and Water. Your appliances can't gauge the load in them. They end up using pretty much the same amount of water and electricity , irrespective of the load. This is one of many simple Water Conservation Tips that can help you save money on electricity too! Another mistake I made. The Thermostat for our Heater/AC was broken and needed to be fixed. I didn't take the time to get the Thermostat fixed. When we looked at the bill we went "You are kidding me! Are we supposed to pay that?". So that's a lesson right there. Ensure that the Thermostat works properly and Save Money On Electricity.
Finally, another simple way to Save Money On Electricity. Have you ever left your laptop plugged into the Mains when it isn't being used? Have you ever switched off your TV using a remote, but left it plugged into the Mains ? Have you left your cell phone charger connected to the Mains even after you have finished charging your cell phone? "Vampire power"/ "phantom load"/ " leaking electricity" is still being consumed by these devices.
Leakage power of individual electronic devices is small. But the sum of all such devices within the household becomes significant. So save money on electricity by unplugging the devices. Else, use a switchable power bar or surge protector with multiple sockets. You can switch off several devices that are often used together- PC; monitor; printer, all with the click of 1 power button on the power bar.
So remember, Save Money On Electricity and follow Water Conservation Tips:
1- Simple, one of many Water Conservation Tips: Always try and run the Dishwasher and Washer on full load. One of many simple Water Conservation Tips.
2- Save Money On Electricity: Ensure that the Thermostat for the Heater/AC works properly.
3- Save Money On Electricity: Remember the "phantom load" Or " leaking electricity" concept . Unplug the devices that are not in use. Or use a switchable power bar with multiple sockets and turn off the switch on the power bar.

Very wise advice - and excellent timing since electricity is still costing more and more (at least where I live). The only tip I can't use is unplugging my computer - as you know Rox, my power button doesn't work so if it gets unplugged it won't turn back on! I really need to get that fixed...
I am really bad about #3, I just can't make myself flip the switch or unplug things. Tips on self discipline are needed now I guess!
