Save Money on High School Graduation Class Rings by Buying Your Own

Lee Andrew Henderson
At most high schools in the States high school seniors will partake in the ritual of buying a high school graduation class ring. High school graduation class rings can be very expensive and parents may be wary of buying such an expensive item for their children. These high school students think that they have to get a high school graduation class ring or they just won't be cool. What's a parent to do? Forget the school and buy a high school graduation class ring on your own.

A lot of schools will charge around $300 for the high school graduation class ring. A cheap alternative for a high school student's graduation class ring is to buy the high school graduation class ring on your own. Jewelers carry high school graduation class rings. Either go to the local jeweler and find a graduation class ring or find an online jeweler.

Just within a few minutes I found some affordable high school graduation class rings with my trusty friend Google. For example Daniels Jewelers (www.danielsjewelers.com) is selling high school graduation class rings for as low as $129.99. Dunham Manufacturing (www.dunham-mfg.com) allows buyers to custom their own rings. The cheapest options are $95 for girls and $135 for guys. High school graduation class rings start at $129.99 for girls and $139.99 for guys at Joy Jewelers (www.joyjewelers.com).

The first thing that will probably come from your high school student is, "but my high school graduation class ring doesn't match everybody else's." In their mind that is a bad thing. All the parent has to do is spin that fact as a good thing. Do you really want a high school graduation class ring that is just like everybody else? Or do you want to get one that is unique? Do you want to get one that the school orders, then receive it later in the year and wear it for a couple of months before you shove it in the back of a drawer and never wear it again. Or do you want to be able to order it whenever you want and be able to wear it all year, months before any of your friends do?

With a little convincing a parent can persuade their high school student that buying a high school graduation class ring on your own, rather than buying it through the school, can be more beneficial for not only the parents but also for the child.
