Live Your Life According to Your Individual Style

You can get pulled in a million directions if you base your happiness, the quality of your life, on what the neighbors or one of your family members have, as far as material possessions go. Which means that to be truly happy you must understand your true self, what's important to you and what you hope to achieve out of life. Some people must have all the latest fancy gadgets to feel that their life has any real meaning. But that's simply not the way it should be. And to know what we need to have in our lives we must understand ourselves, the more comfortable we are with ourselves, the more comfortable we are making decorating choices.

To avoid cluttering your life with junk, with tons of material goods that do nothing but clog up our aura, not to mention our space, we have to know what's important to us. If we hold onto tons of junk that has no meaning then that doesn't leave any room for us to enjoy the things in our lives that have a significant value. We must know our inner self, our personality and let that be conveyed in everything we do. From the way we dress to the way we decorate our home and yard. If you can look at something and not remember where you got it or even why you originally liked it when you bought it, than its definitely time to get rid of it. Post it on freecycle and give it to someone who might be able to use it. Walk through your life, and your house, making notes on what's important to you and what has no meaning, its definitely time for the latter to find another home. Is your closet overflowing to the point of having to climb over stuff to get dressed every morning? Then id say its time to do some thinning out and organizing. Go through your closet and drawers, if you find an item, and I guarantee you will, probably several in fact; that you haven't wore in at least a month, freecyle it. Stacks of old books and magazines dating back to 1980 can and should be recycled. A cluttered home leads to a cluttered life. And if you're like the majority of us, we look at the new washer that Jane has or the new living room suit the Browns have, what about those fabulous shoes that Bobbi just bought, they cost almost more than your monthly house payment, but you just must have a pair like them. What is all that about? Do we really need these things or, are we just in competition with our family and friends. Its important to realize who we are and what we need, because in today's economy, there's very little money for those little extra things we have become accustomed to. Live life more frugally and reap the financial rewards later. I'm not saying that we shouldn't have the things we desire, only to be selective in what we decide we absolutely must have. that's where knowing our true personality comes in. for information on living frugally and finding your true style visit www.bhg.com and www.liveafrugallife.com
