Save Money on Your Next Summer Vacation

Josue Rodriguez
This year, airlines and hotels are doing everything possible to attract customers; this means that there will be many opportunities to enjoy a vacation without having to pay much for it. But it will only be for those who know how to find the best deals. Read the following tips to save on their summer vacations.

Visit the official website of airlines:

Airlines often offer deals that are only found in its official web site. In other websites you can not find the low prices offered by some companies on an exclusive basis. In addition you do not have to pay transaction fees that are included in other websites deals.

Modify your itinerary:

Leaving too early or too late in the day can cost much less. For example flights on Tuesday and Wednesday are much cheaper. Sundays are the most expensive days for domestic flights and Saturday for international flights. You can also save more money using a smaller airport.

Negotiate directly with Hotels:

The rates of hotel rooms have declined in many parts of the United States and Caribbean. Call the hotel directly or contact them at the official website of the hotel company, do not try offers from Internet sites. Communicate directly to negotiate, most of the time they will give a better offer because they want you in the hotel, not out of it. Be sure not to call in the morning and ask for free parking, all breakfast included, or lower fares.

Avoid carrying excessive baggage:

Avoid having to pay additional fees for luggage; you can save extra charges that range from $25 and up to hundreds of dollars for your extra checked bags. Now more than ever it is very important to pack only what is necessary to avoid having to pay more for your summer vacations.

Do not pay more for a rented car:

Avoid buying extra insurance for damage and loss as it is possible that your current auto insurance or and your credit card already offers that insurance protection for loss or damage while traveling. So it is important to call your credit card and insurance provider company to make sure of this detail that could cost more.
