Save Money and Try New Products with Fat Wallet

The Source for Freebies, Sales, Coupons and Rebates

Drew Taylor
The web is full of scams offering cash and fabulous freebies, but there are also legitimate offers online. FatWallet.com is an excellent, free resource for locating free samples, rebates and shopping bargains online and in your own neighborhood. The well-established website always has the latest deals.

Save money by going straight to the source for online freebies, bargains and rebates.
Some of the most popular shopping blogs post deals from FW forums. I prefer to save time and go directly to the source where I can read the latest info from others trying the same offer. As the primary source, FW tends to have more details and people who can answer questions before the offer ends.

Opinionated members provide honest feedback about posted deals and offers. Members are also very helpful when it comes to locating rebate details and company contact info.

Earn cash back when shopping online.
Fat Wallet has a simple, reliable cash back program. Log in to your account and place your order through the appropriate link to get credit. I like this rewards program because it covers over 2500 retailers and I can cash out via PayPal at any time or request a paper check with a balance as little as ten dollars. Comparable programs have minimums that can make it difficult to access your money.

Similar cash back programs offer referral incentives, meaning they often get plenty of good buzz, but are not necessarily better than FW. I participate in three rewards programs and choose the one that is offering the best incentive at the time.

Fat Wallet has seasonal and holiday giveaways.
FW regularly offers generous prizes from sponsors. Entering the giveaways is easy, usually requiring only a forum post, and prizes often include trendy gear and the latest technology.

Freebies in the Mail
In the past couple of weeks, I received approximately forty dollars worth of free product coupons and free samples in the mail thanks to FatWallet. (These offers came directly from the product manufacturers, meaning I do not have to worry about junk mail or spam.) Check out the site for yourself and see how far you can stretch your budget.
