Save the Ta-Tas Clothing: Donating Money to Cancer Research

With October just around the corner, a proliferation of pink ribbons is starting to be seen, reminding everyone that it is Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Ta-Tas® brand clothing has provided a way for the general public to help in the fight against cancer. The clothing and accessories, designed by Julia Fiske, all proudly display a Ta-Tas® logo with the pink ribbon in the center. Five percent of their gross sales go to organizations that are dedicated to fighting cancer. Since their launch in 2004, Ta-Tas® has given over 100,000 dollars to these organizations.

Ladies can buy tees and tanks with sayings such as, "I Caught You Looking At My Ta-Tas", "Love Life, Love Your Ta-Tas", and "Imagine A World Without Cancer". Again, all of the clothing items feature the pink Breast Cancer Awareness ribbon.

Also available for purchase are accessories such as baseball caps, visors, buttons, stickers, bumper magnets, coffee cups, key chains, Koozies, temporary tattoos, lip balm, and even a doggie t-shirt.

In addition to the five percent of their gross sales given to research, Ta-Tas ® has also sponsored and supported "Bowling For Boobies", "Tee It Up For Ta-Tas", "The Pink Ribbon Regatta", and the "Avon Walk For Breast Cancer."

Ta-Tas® clothing and accessories are not only a way for the population to help provide funding for breast cancer research, but they also serve as an awareness tool.

Hopefully this article will serve as a reminder to not only women, but also to the husbands, boyfriends, fathers, brothers and friends that love them, that early detection is currently our best weapon in the fight against breast cancer.

Do not think you are too young. Do not think it will not happen to you. It can! Check your breasts at home monthly, schedule your exams and mammograms regularly and make sure your ta-tas are healthy!!

In 1994, at the very young age of 52, my mother-in-law died of breast cancer. This insidious disease robbed her of the opportunity to ever see her amazing granddaughters, Blaire, Zoe and Brynne and her only grandson, Zachary. Brooke was less than a year old when her grandmother died.
