Saving the Best for Whenever

Ron Noble
She and i resting in the backseat.
A cold winter morning; exchanging body heat.
Giving random glances of our eyes.
Setting off the craziness in our minds.
And silenced songs play on the radio.
Telling of a love that we already know.
The blanket still draped over our heads.
Sunlight's bright enough to glow within.
Enhanced through the windows fully frosted.
The things she whispered softly into my ear.

I just wish so much she was still here.

When the thoughts of dreams' consequence.
My mind reaching a level of common sense.
All these things i want to be real.
Never fully panned out and i'm worried they never will.
And it kills to feel all this within me.
So much ambition, need, yet i'm still lonely.
To again have that four letter word to come to me.
Before everything i know i am fades into memory.
