Saving the Seas: Overview of the Recent Oil Spills

Devastation to our seas is what we have caused for the oh mighty dollar. Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico in two thousand and ten .Fifty Miles off the coast of Louisiana, oil is still spilling into the Gulf of Mexico at an astounding rate. Experts have forecasted that this oil leak will surpass the Exxon Valdez oil spill very soon if this devastation doesn't end soon.

Workers are working on several operations simultaneously. If the oil containment dome doesn't work, experts have a couple backup plans to assist in stopping the gush of oil coming from the 2010 oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The next track for the oil is Florida.

The oil spill is killing Florida's sea food , plant and animal life. The distribution of the sea food market is looking bad. What will this mean for the already starving economy?. My take on this is we will have to rely on our fish farms for our sea food meals. What are we going to do to save our seas and environment?

Workers are working on the oil containment dome project, additional Gulf oil spill workers are working to drill two new relief wells, which would divert oil from the current oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Once the relief wells are completed, workers will pump concrete in, to plug the current leak. Unfortunately, however, experts say that this process could take months to complete.

On the cleanup front, numerous oil spill cleanup methods are also underway. These include deploying oil containment booms to block oil from shore, oil dispersant's which break up the oil, burning the oil, and actually pumping oil off the Gulf's surface. Will this work in time to save our seas? Naturally the ocean has its way to recover from these devastating moments. With that being said this will also take allot of time.

We need to save our seas. We cannot help what has already been done. Lets come together and contribute to our earth and all its elements.
