Say it Aint so Santa

Trial Begins for Murderous Santa

TA James
Well normally a couple of days before Christmas Ol' St. Nick should be busy tending to the making of the toys in the North Pole while supervising his elves and only the day before he should be busy about his toy runs. Not so in Atlanta Georgia, as trial begins this week for a murder that occurred three years ago. According to Fox 5 News a mentally deranged man by the name of Elkin Clarke, bashed an elderly Ms. Annie Nelson, over the head with a 2x4 (large piece of wood). Normally Santa's loving kindness would lead him to give toys to good little children, and his displeasure with little one's disobedience would lead to hunks of coal, but this is a whole new emotion for Santa. Down right pissed off.

The reason for Mr. Clarke, a.k.a Santa beating the woman to death was based on his belief that she was stilling his items. According to Fox 5 News Ms. Nelson was passing out religious pamphlets when Mr. Clarke was reported to have said "She was stealing my stuff. I asked her 10 to 15 times not to take my stuff." Keep in mind that Santa is also a bit schizophrenic. This part of his mentality showed itself during court as he fidgeted like a toddler through an overly long church service.

Clarke's attorneys attempted a mistrial based on Santa's inability to remain attentive and silent to the lack of medication in his system that had not been taken that day. Judge Wendy Shoob had other things in mind as she asked him if he would be able to remain still and patient through the trial, leading to St. Nicky's eager agreement that he surely could, which ended in the mistrial being denied. Judge Wendy Shoob's willingness to even hear the option of a mistrial at this time is null and void. However, due to Clarke's ability to sit and listen to the testimonies of witnesses(no matter the length of agitation) by his agreement, while not given medication for his mental instability for the first half of court, his attorneys will still be seeking a mistrial, not mattering that he received medication for the second half.

This is definitely a terrible time in history even with Christmas being last month, shows that the sweet, joyous, and kind standing figure for children has become twisted or demented. I do not agree with murder of any sort, but shouldn't one be more conscious of the role they're playing when putting on a child friendly suit. It was my belief that Santa was a giving sort, not one to lose his mind over a few items, well giving that his mind was slightly unstable to begin with, I'm not too sure if that would truly apply.

Not to make a terrible situation humorous in any way but this will make me wary just a tad bit this coming April of the Easter Bunny. We know how that rabbit makes us believe he's giving those eggs, but I hate to see the Easter Bunny who will get mad because someone has found his secret stash. Let us pray it doesn't come to that and that Ms. Nelson no matter how horribly taken from this world has received her seat next to the Most High for attempting to spread the Gospel.

For those that may be curious to the outcome of Santa, I have the final scoop. The verdict this week for St. Nick, of course, was guilty, for the murder of the elderly woman Annie Nelson. Well Judge Shoob explained to Mr. Bryant (Santa) that the guilty verdict meant life in prison. Mr. Bryant continued his fussing with the Judge saying in so many words that he didn't understand how he was guilty when Ms. Nelson was attempting to take his chocolates. Basically he believed that if he took the pulpit from her that she could kill him. To bring this to an end Ol' St. Nick will be spending the rest of his days in the dungeon with several large ogres and menacing trolls (the rest of his life in prison).
