Say a Prayer for Them at Christmas Time

Mary E. Coe
Remember all the starving kids of Africa
Pray for the hungry kids of India
Keep in mind the homeless kids in the USA
Take time to pray for them on Christmas day

Don't forget the sick and the disabled
While we decorate our family Christmas tree
Remember all the homeless; just help where you can
Remember to lend a helping hand

Some of us, we may not have a lot
Doesn't matter; just share what we've got
The jobless and disabled, keep them in your thoughts
Say a prayer for them, it means a lot

When we gather round our Christmas dinner table
When we share Christmas gifts with our loved ones
Are we really satisfied that we eased one baby's cry
Do we know within our hearts we really tried

We all can make this world a little better
We can make it happen if we try
If one thousand, give one dollar to one family today
Sometimes a little goes a long, long way

Together we can make a new beginning,
We can make a difference if we try
Don't need to have a lot, just try sharing what we've got
Our little, to the homeless, means a lot

When your family gather round the dinner table
To give thanks for the hearty Christmas feast
Remember all the sick living in our world today
Many living right here in the USA

Remember starving people of the world
Pray for the hungry people everywhere
Remember the homeless here in the USA
Say a prayer for the world on Christmas Day

What about our military families
Remember the troops on Christmas day
They're serving their country in a war zone far away
Pray for the brave deployed on Christmas Day
Say a prayer for the world on this Christmas day
