Say it with Song!!!

Some Songs We Hear Makes a Lasting Impression, and Touches Our Lives

Originally, a person may not be able to express themselves with words, and that's where the expression: "Say It With A Song", can derive from. It's something very special about music that feeds the soul with very graphic pictures of what the artist is feeling, or even seeing mentally, as they soothe their listeners with melodies and lyrics that touch the soul!

I can recall myself feeling exactly the way the artist was, when I heard a soft melody bellowed out by Anthony Hamilton. I must step outside of this article to state that his music is very soulful, and it touches me in places that I didn't exist.

I say this because a lot of us may not be in love, or are having relationship issues, but once we hear certain songs that are based on these issues and situations, we tend to actually feel as if we're right there with the artist; going through the agony, they're releasing through their song(s). And these songs generally draw a large listening audience; Simply because they put forth an understandably natural and equal personality. It seems as if for a minute, they are just normal people like us. People with issues of being in love, and losing it just like their supporters.

And in cases where an artist is releasing their joy of overcoming certain battles, speaks to and for listeners as well. I remember a time in my life when I was excited about conquering a major block in my life, and Mary J. Blige came out with a song that described how I was feeling to a tee. It was as if I couldn't explain exactly how I was feeling at the time, but her song put the words in perspective for me, so easily until I made it my theme song for at least a year!

Let's not forget about the times we've heard certain songs and began to actually see things through a different light. Like songs about someone's struggle, and certain issues where a person is connecting with their inner demons and do all that they can to right their wrongs; these songs give you a sense of acknowledgement that people are out there with problems and issues greater than those of your own, you know. There was a rap song about a little girl who was neglected by her parents, and seriously didn't have anywhere to turn but the streets, and it got me to thinking, that some of these wandering youth truthfully don't have anywhere to turn to, or anyone. And it pained me as well as making me want to do something to provide some sort of assistance to the youth.

It's funny how just listening to a song could possibly change your life, or the outlook you have on life, itself. Can you recall a time, when you heard a song, and it just opened up so many areas of your mental?

When you hear a certain song, and it depicts your life at that very moment,it makes you not only realize that the artist is just like you; It makes you feel as if someone out there knows exactly what you're going through-Which is GREAT!!!
