Saying Goodbye

I love you my friend
And this is true
I do not want to have
To say goodbye to you

I know I have never met you
I have only talked to you online
You are always on my mind
There is not anything I wouldn't do for you

You are someone special
Someone I never expected to meet
You have brought joy to my life
When I felt nothing but defeat

I search for you each day
Praying you will be on
I do not want to think
That this day, you may be gone.

I hope you understand my fears
And listen to my words of love
Let me help you my dear friend
To keep you from up above.

I know one day it will be your turn
To go to the peaceful place in the sky
But I wish to be able to help you live
You are so young and have time to fly

I know that if God choose it is your time to go
There is nothing that I can do
I will wait patiently for my time to join you
And silently mourn your loss on earth.
