An easily available commercially produced chocolate that does qualify is the Lindt dark chocolate eighty-five percent bar that is displayed on Supermarket shelves here in Australia. To my knowledge though Lindt however is not fair trade or organic chocolate.
Perhaps in USA such high grade chocolate products are easier to procure. Many home made chocolates MAY qualify. Perhaps also in USA there are easily available, common brands of chocolate that are fair trade, organic and low sugar products. Certainly here in Australia it is not too easy to acquire such excellent chocolate.
When out shopping yesterday I found no such chocolates easily available at the large urban shopping Centre I visited. Also interesting to note was that in the supermarket I visited there were no brands of chocolate on special except Green and Blacks; which interestingly enough is fair trade, organic chocolate. But here in Australia there are no specific Green and Blacks Easter products.
Let me tell you that after you have eaten such wonderful chocolate you will find it difficult to eat anything less. If you click through the link to the Green and Black site you can there find their interesting story regarding the production of their chocolate products.
Happy Easter to you all - and if you can find enough time go treat yourself and the people you love by going shopping this Easter Saturday to hunt down some worthy chocolate products. As an aside you will be supporting an ethical, fair trade industry.
Keep posted.

Post a CommentSounds quite yummy. I've used FT coffee, but have not tried the chocolate, except for the beans, which I grind up with the coffee beans for a very nice mocha-cuppa-thingy.
Have a Happy Easter!
Maybe I'm lucky to live in Europe, good and fair choco is easy to find as long you're willing to pay for it. I'm not a chocolate lover, anyway. Lucky me again!
Hugs
Good idea, but I have no idea about the ethics of chocolate available around here (US).
