The show was hosted by Shin SeKyung, Super Junior's Kim Heechul and 2PM's Ok Taecyon. They did pretty well and SeKyung is really pretty. Almost all of South Korea's idol groups were there with the participation other performers such as Lee Hyori and Rain. We have Girls Generation, Wonder Girls, 2PM, Shinee, After School, T-Ara, f(x) and more. There were some that I haven't seen such as Big Bang, 2NE1, Brown Eyed Girls and TVXQ.
Some of the performances were SNSD's Oh! and Run Devil Run, Super Junior's Bonamana, Wonder Girls' 2 Different Tears, f(x)'s Nu ABO, Kara's Lupin, CNBlue's I'm a Loner, Shinee's Ring Ding Dong, Lee Hyori's Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and more. It was a pretty straightforward concert and the performances were shown one after the other. And at the end, they sang a closing song together.
Heechul and Taecyon went on to perform with their respective groups as well. Super Junior's fans seem to dominate the stadium. They were actually beside the fans of Girls Generation. But of course, this is one of the times when they work together and show how solid they are as K-pop artists. Although they fiercely compete with one another when it comes to album sales, a lot of them are actually really close friends even though their groups are from different managing labels. It's a show of South Korean Culture through K-pop.
I am a very big fan of Girls Generation or SNSD (So Nyuh Shi Dae) and even though they haven't promoted here yet, it's pretty clear that they have a solid Filipino fan-base. But through the course of time, I started to like the songs of other K-pop groups and started to be more familiar with them even when they're not performing or when they show up on different variety shows.
All my expectations were met from the best collaboration of K-pop artists in this year's SBS Dream Concert. I've watched it and all of the performances were great too bad not all were there. I was looking for Sandara Park from 2NE1. I'm looking forward to next year's dream concert. But of course, there's more to K-pop until that time comes.
