Scamper the Kitty is a Cake Thief

There is a reason why the play entitled Cats was performed on a prominent New York stage for so many years. Cats are cute. My kitty did something cute tonight, and since I like to share, here it is.

I went to bed a little early tonight, not planning on doing a whole lot of computer work. But around midnight I felt a little hungry, and since I'm fast becoming lactose intolerant, especially at night, I didn't want anything that involved milk. So I went to the kitchen part of this cabin to cut a little piece of plain yellow cake that I had baked this weekend.

With the cake slice between two fingers, I sat down in my favorite chair ready to eat. But my cat Scamper, also has quite a sweet tooth himself, and he must have been hungry too because he just batted that little piece of cake from between my fingers with his paw and scarfed the whole thing down himself. I didn't even get a little bite.

Why that kitty is a cake thief. Maybe I should take him to Sheriff Nolan's office to show him the holding cell. Perhaps that would scare him streight.

Nah. He's a hopeless case and a perfect example of a creature that has an incurable criminal mind. The cat is downright audacious.
