Scary Halloween Costume for Couples Depends on You

I think of my husband as my best friend and soul-mate. A few years ago we were trying to think of a costume that we could come up with that would be easy to pull together, inexpensive and scary.

Have you heard of the Rugrats? If so, you know about Tommy and Angelica.

Tommy Pickles is a trouble-maker and a story teller. He sticks up for the other Rugrats against other bullies, especially Angelica. He keeps the Rugrat's contraband in his diaper.

Angelica Pickles is spoiled, and bullies her way around often getting her own way.

It sounded like it was a match, and the best part was, our costumes would cost as little as the price of a package of Depends and some things we already had in our closet.

Costume for Tommy:

Very little hair; blue shirt; disposable diapers; bare feet; no pants

Costume for Angelica:

Blonde with 2 pig-tails; red-and-black-striped shirt with flared cuffs; purple jumper (a midriff-type skirt); blue tights with green dots; red socks; purple sneakers; diapers.

We fashioned our costumes out of existing clothing, pinky swore that neither of us would wet our pants that night, and made our debut at the costume party.

Fortunately we did not get pulled over on the way to the party; otherwise, they might have thought we were from NASA. We did enjoy laughs, shrieks and other sounds of fear.

If you are looking for a creepy funny scary costume for not a lot of money and you have very little hair or can manage to scrape together pig tails out of your hair, you can go to your local pharmacy, grocery store, or your grandmother's closet and get yourself an adult diaper. The rest of the costume and attitude are up to you!
