Scene Kids Vs. Emo Kids: My Opinion

Brandon Elliott
Beyond popular belief, scene and emo are different in the way they dress and live life in general.

Scene kids are happy! They wear bright colors, have fun hair, and wear clothes that express themselves accurately.

Emo kids are happy a lot of the time, but they are more of the "I hate life" genre. They wear a lot of black and often have black hair as well. They are renowned for having hair over one of their eyes or part of their face.

Yeah, we all know you hate life. But come on, keep your sob stories to yourself, please! Life is difficult, but lets cut the crap and get over it. Complaining is something an emo kid is excellent at.

The youth of America is becoming a bunch of copycats. Scene and Emo are all about non-conformity, but has anyone ever noticed that they all look the same? Originality is hard to find anymore, which is something that makes me cringe.

Music is a big part of scene and emo kids' lives. Emo music often has sad lyrics that follow their "I hate life" perspective. They also listen to screamo and hardcore music, and even techno and electronica. There is a new genre called "Emotronica".

Every day, emo and scene kids are becoming a bigger part of America's culture. It's all just about following trends and trying to be popular, and I'm pretty sure that this is the golden age for Emo and Scene kids.

P.S. If you want to become an emo kid, don't bother. It's a lifestyle that is all about sadness, and will destroy any sympathy you have left.

I'm sorry but emo is not the "I hate everything in my life" attitude. I might agree with a few points but your opinion on emo is a bit too stereotyped. I have post where I say when people don't know what emo is: http://www.emoscenestyle.com/2011/01/top-10-signs-that-show-people-dont-know-what-emo-is/
