Scene Prom Makeup Ideas 2011

Concentrate on the Eyes the Most

Angel Vee
You have your scene prom dress, now what? Well, if your going with this look you definitely need the makeup to match. The main key is the eyes when it comes to applying scene or emo makeup. The hottest look of course is the smoky style. However now a days you are seeing more bold and bright shades like hot pink and turquoise or even rainbow with a dab of glitter.

There really isn't a limit on how many colors to use or how thick the liner should be. On some girls the heavy look looks amazing, while on others just a simple thick cat eyes with one single shadow looks great. It all depends on how you apply it, and how you carry it off.

You will need a soft liquid foundation, a light colored face powder, darkest black mascara, black eyeliner, shadows of choice, and a very soft glossy lip. Focus on the eyes the most, don't worry about adding too much color to your lips. The easiest way to get your scene prom makeup perfect is to practice, and follow tutorials and pictures.

Here is a quick tutorial from me using different shades of colors and heavy eyeliner.

Apply primer to each eyelid.

Apply a nice pink shade to half of the outer eyelid. Then on the inner eyelid apply a beautiful blue shade until you meet the middle. On the bottom lid in the middle add a splash of the blue from the inner and next to it add a deep bluish purple shade just a tad. Using black eyeliner start from the inner corner of eye and create your line.

Make sure once you get to the middle start making the line as thick as possible. Wing it out of the corners. Then make a very thick line underneath lash line. A point in the inner corner, and connect to the wing.

Throw on some dark black mascara, and your all finished.
