Your dentist may cringe when she finds out you've been in Hershey's Chicago store, but you'll walk out with a chocolaty grin on your face. As soon as you walk into Hershey's Chicago store located at 822 N. Michigan Ave., there's the faint scent of chocolate in the air. And if you can't smell it and have a sweet tooth, the workers will definitely help you out. A greeter immediately offers guests a chocolate or sweet from a silver bucket and a chocolate hat.

Then the fun begins. There are countless Hershey's T-shirts, umbrellas, candy, pajamas, socks, stuffed animals, mugs, thermoses, baseball bats, games, tote bags and caps. There's an area in the middle of the store with a big swirl machine. Children turn the wheel like they're on a ship and candy comes flying down the slider.

In the back of Hershey's Chicago store, there's a reasonably nice-sized café area full of all kinds of chocolate and sweet desserts. The sitting area is lined with candy photos along the walls, and there's a flat-screen television showing candy on the screen. The sign outside of Hershey's Chicago store says "Come In and Warm Up." With hot chocolate, of course, you can do just that. Chicago is lucky to have this store because there are only three other ones-Shanghai (China), Times Square (New York) and Niagara Falls.

If you want to leave smelling like chocolate or remember the scent of your visit to Hershey's Chicago store, not a problem. The chocolate store sells Hershey candles as well as candy lipstick-Reese's chapstick and Hershey's chapstick. Purse your lips up and instant chocolate smell. Hershey's Chicago is a great location to take small children, for special events or birthday parties. But don't blame Hershey's Chicago store for that next dental cleaning, and make sure to brush your teeth and floss after all the chocolate treats.
