Schick Intuition Plus Soothing Moisture with Milk and Honey

What a Sharp Design!

Why I bought it:

I am a very simple girl. I don't own more shoes than I need and I don't spend money to tan; I tan while I'm fishing, hiking, or just playing outside with the family. When it comes to shaving, it may be a bit embarrassing but I usually use my husband's razors. Well, that's not the embarrassing part. I don't use shaving cream or gel, and sometimes I don't even use soap. I just do a quick run with water and a man's razor.

With the weather getting nicer, and my current obsession to 'girl up' a little more, I have been occasionally putting on a little eyeliner here and there, and I've traded in the comfy men's cargo shorts for the women's short shorts that are 'in' this year. With those short shorts... I am showing more leg. So, I wanted my legs to look a little nicer and not destroy the effect of wearing short shorts. I decided to buy a nice woman's razor.

What is so great about the Schick Intuition?

I'll be honest. I almost changed my mind when I saw the prices of those fancy razors they have for us women. I could buy 2 bags of cheap, disposable razors for what it costs for just one of these razors... many of which only come with one replacement head. The replacement heads you can buy come in small amounts (usually 3-5) and cost just as much if not more.

The Schick Intuition Plus Razor with milk and honey "only" cost me $10.99 plus tax. However, it is not just a razor! It is a razor, shaving lather and a moisturizer all in one. The triple blade razor is embedded into what seems to be a bar of soap... and when it glides over your skin the lather prevents irritation and bumps, at the same time moisturizing your legs while the razor does it's job.

I absolutely loved the feel of this razor! Being as clumsy as I am, this may have been the first time I didn't cut myself while shaving! I don't even think it would be possible to with the way the razor sits in the bar-of-soap-like moisturizer. I didn't even feel the razor at all, and when I got out of the shower my husband confirmed that my entire body was not only the smoothest it has ever been, it is also entirely 100% hairless.

My attitude towards that $10.99 price tag has changed. I will willingly buy the replacement heads when I need them, because this is the best shaving experience I have ever had. And I never really even thought that I'd ever consider shaving any type of experience. Life is sure full of surprises!

What's not so great about the Schick Intuition?

Although my attitude has changed about the $10.99 price tag, I still hate to see any kind of razor cost so much. Maybe it's just the economy, but the way I see it the minimum wage in NY right now is $7.15. Take away taxes and that's probably around $6.80 an hour. So you would have to work two long hours just to buy one of these razors. How unfair is that?! Maybe I just don't understand today's economy, or I'm unwilling to accept what I can not change. It doesn't matter, because I will continue to spend that unreasonable amount for this razor. It must be worth it.

Aside from the pricing issue (which is apparently excusable in my mind at this point) I don't have any upset with this product.

The bottom line:

Even if you are not new to the market for women's razors... give this one a try. You may end up falling in love with shaving!
