Some simple ideas for cutting the cover page to make it more impressive are by cutting it diagonally in half or in half in another way, rounding the corners, cutting the edges with decorative scissors or by attaching a semi transparent page over the pictures.

By making the cover page a unique and elegant representation of a students high school experience the committee is more likely to not just pass by the students application and the committee will also have a greater feel for who the student is and if they are right for their college or scholarship.
