Schwinn 120 Upright Exercise Bike Review

Jamie Cortez
Everybody knows that an exercise program would only be effective if you do it regularly. For that to happen an easy access to exercise equipment is mandatory. That is the very reason why so many people are buying their own exercise equipment to use at home. When you got an exercise machine ready to use at home you got one less excuse not to get a workout.

For many the easiest option for an exercise machine is an exercise bike. One good bike to mention is the Schwinn 120 upright exercise bike. It is an affordable bike (about $300 in most stores) but it is an excellent one to have.

The followings are some of the good and bad points of this bike.

Pros

For a $300 bike the Schwinn 120 is fairly rich in features. It boasts 16 resistance levels (which should cover a wide variety of workout needs), 12 workout programs and integrated grip heart rate sensor. It is also equipped with Eddy Current Brake (ECB) resistance system and oversized stabilizers which guarantee smooth movements.

By the way, this bike comes in parts so you need to put it together yourself. Don't worry though, the assembly is quite easy and won't take long. All thanks to the assembly manual which is clear and easy to understand. You can put all the parts together on your own in an hour (or less if you got someone to help out).

Riding on the Schwinn 120 is fun and comfortable. The bike is stable and sturdy. It doesn't wobble when you pedal fast and hard. It is also a quiet machine. When you exercise in front the television you won't have to turn up the volume.

Cons

The first minus point for this bike is the shoe strap one the pedals. If you have big feet you'll have a hard time getting your shoes in. Schwinn also made it hard to get rid of them. The second one is the programming manual. It takes a lot of guess works to make it work.

Conclusion

All in all the Schwinn 120 upright exercise bike is a decent exercise machine that would be great to have in your home. The programming manual could be better but once you got everything set up this bike really worth every penny.
