Isaac Newton was one of the first to admit the possibility of intelligence behind the existence of the universe. "This most beautiful system of the sun, planets and comets, could only proceed from the counsel and dominion of an intelligent and powerful Being." - Isaac Newton ("General Scholium," in Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy, Isaac Newton. 1687)
He understood that there were only two answers as to how everything came into being which is by random chance (something from nothing) or Creationism, which is the belief that humanity, life, the Earth, and the universe are the creation of God. As he learned more about the extreme complexity of our world he came to realize that it could not have happened by chance.
Essentially, the Big Bang is not the hot button issue. Many creationists agree with big bang theorists on several points. The debate rages over when it happen and what caused it. Creationists believe what the Bible says which is, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." They believe the earth was created and intelligently designed by God for man. Those who oppose the idea of a Creator believe the incredible notion that, "In the beginning there was nothing... and then it exploded!"
Nature itself demonstrates the existence of an intelligent Designer. Off the record, many scientists freely admit this but to publicly admit such a thing could mean an end to their career. This has already happened to a number of scientists who had the nerve to point out the many flaws in the theory of random chance.
Creation scientists are true professionals and not all of them are religious. Nevertheless, many of them have had to come to grips with the evidence. Facts are facts and over the last few decades the facts continue to point to creationism. Astronomers have made astounding progress over the last fifty years and they now have technology that enables them to see as far back as the very beginning of creation.
It's an interesting fact that America is the most scientifically advanced nation on Earth yet more than half the people in America reject the theory of chance. This is mainly due to the fact that those who promote the theory that in the beginning there was an explosion with no cause (something from nothing) are usually evolutionists who use their theories to support their atheistic beliefs in an attempt to disprove the existence of God; which makes their opinions just as biased if not more than the biased opinions they accuse creationists of having.
Scientifically speaking, both are theories, and theories are accepted or denied based on the evidence. To ignore evidence based on one's bias is poor science and when discussing the possibility of the earth being created by God, those who oppose it refuse to even consider the evidence because if proven true it would represent accountability to the Creator.
For the Big Bang to have occurred there had to have been something present to cause it. Creationists say it was God. Those who oppose this argue that if God was the cause, where did God originate? This is like asking how many corners a circle has. There is no beginning or end in eternity. God is not bound by time, space, or matter, and therefore has no beginning or end.
According to the Bible, the proof of God's existence is in the creation. "For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities- his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God." Romans 1:20
A few years ago one scientist confessed that he refused to consider the evidence associated with creationism simply because he was a man of science and to believe in Creation was to believe in God which was beneath his intelligence. "I am a medical research scientist," he said. "I believed in the power of the universe because I have seen it. I'm a physician. But don't talk to me about a virgin birth or a resurrection."
He became terminally ill and when facing death he also faced the question, what if? What if the earth and universe didn't just randomly come into being? He had earned many degrees in medicine which involved much study but he had never actually researched the possibility of a Creator. He was far too intelligent to consider such a thing.
"It's very easy to be an atheist," he said, "when you are one of the most powerful men in your area of the world. But it's nearly impossible to be an atheist when you're lying on your death bed." He contacted a friend that he had debated for years over the existence of God but this time, he listened with a different attitude.
Before long he realized that he had never really listened to the evidence because he had already dismissed it as foolishness and therefore, it wasn't worth listening to. It's like telling someone that Santa Clause is real. No reasonably intelligent person would consider the evidence for such a thing because it's absolute nonsense. This is the way many scientists view the evidence for the existence of God.
When searching for the truth, one must not be afraid to explore all possibilities. Real evidence, whether we want to believe it or not should not be ignored. The terminally ill scientist became a born again Christian and is no longer terminally ill. God has a way of humbling even the most proud. "Professing to be wise, they became fools." (Rom. 1:22)

Post a CommentA conspiracy among scientists to "stifle the 'truth'" is not what's keeping you out of scientific academies....it's your glaring lack of fundamental scientific knowledge.
First off, the theory of evolution does not equal Big Bang theory: they deal with entirely different things ..they don't even deal with the same branch of science.and NEITHER of them deal with the origin of life.
Biology's Evolution theory deals with the diversity of life on earth, NOT the origin of life.
Cosmology's Big Bang Theory deals with the origin of the universe, NOT the origin of life. It's normally helpful to research these things yourself before you go off on a rant telling people to research these things.
I agree 100%. As a creation scientist I wonder why research on origin is considered religion and evolution is not. No one was actually there! Both theories are based on hypotheses. In the beginning (origin) there were no religions or atheists. Science bias is clear. They are not interested in truth because they cannot handle the truth. That is......they will someday have to kneel before an omnipotent creator God.
