Science Summer Camps in Orange County - Camp Piniped 2010
Pacific Marine Mammal Center offers a wonderful summer camp called Camp Piniped 2010. Available seven different weeks during summer, campers will have the opportunity to visit a marine mammal hospital and see all the action that happens on a daily basis. Other opportunities include: observe an animal care team rehabilitating seals and sea lions; sea life games and activities; and arts and crafts. Each day has a different theme. Class size is limited to 24 students per session.

Science Summer Camps in Orange County - Discovery Science Center
Discovery Science Center is chock full of camps for summer. Offering 5 camps on site at the center and 4 out in the field, your child will want to participate in more than just one. Camps held at the Discovery Science Center include: Science Sizzles where students study earthworms, investigate colors, and learn about health and nutrition; Digital Comics & Stories is for children who have an artistic flair and love computer graphics; Ultimate Exploration invites kids to learn how to make a rubber ball, electrical projects and exploring mystery substances; Digital Photography geared toward budding photographers who will learn how to capture the best photo as well as altering it in Photoshop; and Game Masters where students learn the basics of video game design. Off site camps include two at the Santa Ana Zoo (The Zoo and You; and Zoo Camp) and two camps at the San Joaquin Marsh (Summer Smiles investigates frogs, butterflies and dirt; and Project Discover challenges kids with science experiments).

Science Summer Camps in Orange County - Oak Canyon Summer Camp
Oak Canyon Nature Center offers a wonderful summer camp for kids 5 to 10 years old. The center offers 9 different sessions of camps. Camp sessions include: Dawn of the Dragonfly; Canyon Trekkers; The Hidden Eyes; On Silent Wings; Fire in the Sky; Time of the Ancient; Swift Running; Call of the Wild; and Tale of the Rattler. All sessions run Monday through Friday 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Each camp focuses on exploring and discovering science through nature including trail walks, demonstrations, nature activities and experiments. Each participant receives a camp t-shirt.
