Too late to get a ticket to be on the "50 yard line", to watch the NFL teams draft their players for 2009 but put it on your own roster, calendar or Blackberry for the 2010 series. Think of it, next year you can be sitting front line center to watch it play out on the stage as the NFL Draft occurs in 2010.
Here's the deal. The draft is held each year in New York City; the past four years it has been at Radio City Music Hall. Free tickets are made available to fans to watch the NFL Draft, annually. Plan to arrive early as seating is extremely limited. These tickets are available to fans on a first-come first-served basis. Tickets are distributed at the box office the morning of the draft. Only one ticket is available per person. Expect lines to be long lines to score these tickets for Day 1. You'll have to stand in line again for Day 2, as well. What's the payoff for two days of standing and sitting through the length of the entire draft besides sore feet, body aches and a chance possibly feel like you were tackled just to get the tickets? The following year, no lines for you! A ticket is sent to your mailbox for the next NFL Draft. Of course, you'll need to fill out the form they provide to make this happen. How else could they get the coveted ticket to your door?
What if you don't want to have to stand in line to watch the NFL Draft? You do have the option of purchasing tickets to the event. The price of the event in 2009's package from the NFL was $399. It included tickets for Day 1 and Day 2, continental breakfast, New York City Transit one day "fun pass", souvenir Draft hat, drink and snack coupons for the venue as well as photo opportunities. In 2009 for those that didn't make it inside Radio City Music Hall for the NFL Draft, information was handed out as to where they can get in on the Coors Light Draft Day Celebration. There will be different venues throughout Manhattan to watch Day 1 of the Draft. On the day of the celebration former NFL stars were available at the different celebrations sites to sign autographs and of course watch the draft.
