Scorpio Gardening and Food

October 23 to November 22

Scorpio deepens the fall, so fall and winter crops dominate the planting garden.

Scorpio Gardening

Always having a plan, Scorpio makes sure that successive plantings of turnips, snap peas, lettuce, radishes and any other fall or winter vegetable grace the gardens. Being the strongest member of the zodiac, Scorpio is attracted to vigorous plants such as Swiss chard which re-grows when cut. The color red is a favorite so tomatoes appeal. Eggplants appeal for their color purple and any other vegetable with bright or deep colors are planted.

Fruit trees, such as apple or cherry with their beautiful blooms and deep color produce, create great pleasure. Being sexy and passionate, Scorpio is captivated by exotic lilies with their deep nectar-coated throats.

Scorpio Food

Scorpio's like a challenge so sushi and Thai foods will sometimes be on the menu in their kitchen. Mostly being about intensity, the Scorpio wants foods bursting with powerful flavors. Spices like basil, cinnamon, curry, garlic and ginger will be among the favorites. When possible, the food will be deep red in color so pastas with sauces will also be a favorite.

Dinner appetizers might be tomato bruschettas followed by lentil soup. Main courses might consist of Singapore noodles, garlic and herb pasta with tomatoes, pepperoni and mozzarella cheese. Side dishes would include garlic rice with peppers in balsamic vinegar. Deep red apples wrapped in puff pastry with a Calvadoa butter sauce would be dessert.

Scorpio Personality

Reputed to be the "most powerful" sign of the zodiac, Scorpio leads a fate filled life and has intense and dramatic personal relationships. Even as children, they are often found to be wise beyond their years, though often times have difficulty finding what they need to develop their own happiness.

Passion, desire and power go hand in hand for Scorpio. Their biggest challenge and test in life is choosing between the power of love and the love of power. Coming to grips with their extraordinary emotional depths and sensitivity is not easy for people living with a Scorpio. When dealing with a Scorpio, one must deal with them on a psychic intuitive level. They often wear a mask and they have contrary natures. Once finding true love, they can be the most faithful dedicated of all partners, but fall out badly with a Scorpio and you are likely to find they will never forget or forgive.

Most Scorpios are winners. The main trouble is their attitudes, which make up their mind powers and can either make or break them. Negativity about something or someone, or critical of themselves oftentimes gets in their way.

Scorpios operate on three levels of soul evolvement:

First - The least evolved and most drawn toward using their powers the wrong way. The criminal element comes under this level.

Second - The eagle is high flying, entrepreneurial, and successful, who seems able to rise above adversity and transform bad times into good.

Third - The Phoenix Resurrected are detached and extremely powerful. They are wise beyond their years and act as leaders and an inspiration to others.

Frequently a Scorpio goes through all three levels of evolvement in one lifetime, but the levels can operate out of sequence.

Life pursuit is "to survive against all opposition" and secret desire is "to triumph".

I found this line to be the most fascinating: "Frequently a Scorpio goes through all three levels of evolvement in one lifetime, but the levels can operate out of sequence." I linked this so my brother could read it; he and I are both Scorpios.

I'm also a Scorpio, and this is an accurate description. Very interesting!

    Great idea on this article.

I'm a Scorpio, so of course I found this fascinating! I do love flavorful food, but it's not sushi. It's always really ooey, gooey, fatenning foods that I should ban from my home! :-) This was a lot of fun, thanks!
