How do Scorpios handle finances? What aspects of their personality might help them cope with money as the credit crunch bites?

Scorpio is the eighth sign of the Zodiac. This sign is associated with the eighth house of investments and legacies. This is why the Scorpio takes their financial affairs very seriously. They are unlikely to fall for get-rich-quick-schemes. They will rarely give way to any foolish or risky ventures. This just isn't in their nature. Scorpios will be careful with their cash. They will invest wisely and will prefer to watch their money slowly grow.

Scorpios and Money

Scorpios will get pleasure through money but not so much because it provides luxuries and other entertaining fringe-benefits. Even so, being opposite the Venus ruled sign Taurus, Scorpios will at times enjoy their little luxuries. They will also enjoy the challenge of making a success of their finances. Through this they will spend a lot of time studying the investment market while trying to decide the best ways of feathering their nest egg!

Scorpio is an intuitive Water sign. They will often rely on their instincts in financial matters. They are good at earning and generally speaking, a positive blend of common sense, practicality and intuition will lead them in the right direction in which to build up their wealth.

Scorpios and Finances

On the negative side, however, very much like their opposite sign Taurus, they can be impulsive in their spending. They might develop a taste for luxury and there will be moments when they won't be able to resist splashing out on non-essential but attractive items. If these are likely to increase in value over the years, at least they won't have wasted their cash!

Scorpios hate waste. They would much rather have a broken appliance fixed until it has given full value for the money it cost. This can frustrate their housemates when some might prefer to invest in new equipment. In the long run, this is often the cheaper way so it might be worth it if the Scorpio listened to what others had to say!

The Secretive Scorpio

Scorpios should try to be open about joint funds. There is a secretive side to their nature. This inclines them to keep certain things from their partner. A secret hoard could indeed come in useful during the recession. But if they aren't open about their income and expenditures, this could lead to later problems.

Scorpios and Investments

With regard to investments, if at some time in their life, they feel tempted to buy shares, Scorpios might be attracted to the Oil or Mining industries, land or property. The Wine Trade too, could bring them pleasing profit.
