Scott Brown Centerfold: A Cosmo Hit Before Election
Scott Brown Posed Almost Nude for Cosmopolitain Magazine in the 1980's
The photo was all but nude - although you couldn't see "anything", it still left little to the imagination. You can view the centerfold here at Eagleionline.com, but be warned it's NSFW. Of course, if this were a female political candidate this would be a HUGE scandal. However, the biggest thing that Brown's opponent is concerned about is the lack of health insurance that he gives to his staffers.
In Brown's defense, health insurance is expensive. On the other hand, it's a little silly to run on a political ticket during one of the biggest pushes to universal healthcare - and not even offer it to your staffers. Brown maintains that most of his campaign workers already have insurance. As usual, politics is in the business of making things appear different than they really are. Of course, at least he is Republican. A Democrat in the same position would be a little sacrilegious.
That being said, the fuss about Scott Brown's "failure" to provide his campaign workers insurance (per this article from Boston.com) and Martha Coakley's (the Democratic ticketholder) desire for healthcare reform shows just how divided the country is over healthcare.
At least the Scott Brown centerfold is a distraction from the arguments at hand. Sometimes all people want to know about is gossip. Politics as usual will keep raging on forever. IT's rare that a man would be caught up in this type of scandal - it's usually women who pose for these types of photographs.
That being said, is the photo really that big an issue? Will it affect the polls? Most likely if Brown gets voted in to office, it won't be because of his Cosmo spread. He will get voted in because people in his state are tired of the healthcare reform and don't want a bill passed any time soon.
According to the Washington Examiner, Brown leads Coakely in the polls by 5 points, which indicates that the Democratic candidate may be "destined to lose." With the elections days away, Washington is watching this race very closely. If she loses, it will send a very powerful message to the Democratic party.
Mid-term elections are going to take place this year, and so Washington is working tirelessly to pass health care reform before a group of new officials are in office.
If the Scott Brown centerfold was introduced into the media in order to hurt his character, it doesn't look like it is working, but only time will tell.

Post a CommentMore bitter, hypocrite feminists all over the place here. Where were you for Juanita Broderick, Katherine Willey, Paula Jones, ad nauseam? Yeah, thought so. If Coackroachly had posed for a nude pix in her youth that wasn't explicit, it would have had the same effect. Pretty much the same as this.
Poor bitter feminists. Always bitter, always hypocritical, always ready to blame the world. Get a clue. You might find one one eBay
I have nothing against Scott Brown but I agree with Sasha, if he was Sue Brown and had posed nude in Playboy she would have been run out of Massachusetts and she would have never been on the ballot,"what the hell?" I really do not care if some one wishes to pose nude but I do believe in equality for both sexes! if it was a female running for the Senate seat, there would be much ridiculous controversy!
Honey, if this is the worst thing you ever did you have my vote!! Nice to see a healthy American man for a change!! WHAT A HUNK!!!! What you did didn't hurt anyone, unlike a lot of others! Eye Candy for sure!!
this guy is really gross. I wish I had seen this phot shoot before I voted.

martha, why do you group gay people with murderers and adulterers? do you really think that? You need help, weirdo!
Old stories define character must NOT forget the PAST..........thats for you snakebaby....
Well put Martha......Ted Kennedy was a

and exactly WHAT defines a "loser" he is
an Officer in the National Guard WHAT exactly are YOU? loser?
He's rocks and so does his photo.
It was my understanding from other news sources that everyone on his staff was covered for insurance by either a spouse's coverage at their work, or by the Massachusetts Health Connector Program. If it is a problem with anyone on the left that he allowed some of his staff to be covered by a state run government program instead of paying money to cover them, it would seem hypocritical to me. They all had health insurance.
