Scott Disick and the Kardashians Make Up

The story about Kim's New York escapade involving a jealous girlfriend and a drink tossed in Kim's face is making the headlines. But the bigger story is the rescue afterwards by Disick, and the girls' change of heart towards him.

In the most recent episode of "Kourtney and Kim Take New York" (airing on E!), the girls' newest reality show, Kim found herself in a tough spot. While the episode aired January 30, 2011, the whole drama actually occurred last October. While taking a picture with a male fan, his girlfriend became enraged and began screaming at Kim. Kim tried to explain that she was just taking a picture with him as a fan that approached her, but the fan's girlfriend was convinced it was something more. Finally, the enraged woman tossed a drink on her. That's when Scott stepped in. He got into the middle of it, exchanging choice words with the man and his girlfriend, and things got pretty intense.

Scott is known for his hot temper. There was the incident in Vegas, when Scott shoved dollar bills into a waiter's mouth because Kris Jenner convinced him to cut Scott off. The cops had to intervene over a parking job fight he had with a neighbor. He even admitted to Ryan Seacrest on air he had issues with anger and alcohol.

At one point, Scott was even dubbed the "douche lord" by Khloe.

But Kourtney stuck with him, despite several attempts from the media to get her to ditch him.

The Kim fiasco may give us a glimpse into why she stayed with him. Apparently Disick is loyal, if nothing else. Even though he's been through a ton of drama with the Kardashian sisters, he protected Kim when she needed it. Scott's altercation was so heated that he got thrown out of Juliet's Supper Club.

After the fight, Kourtney was upset that Scott had lost his temper, remembering how many times he had done so in the past. She even left Scott at the club. Khloe, however, was the one who wanted to make sure he was okay, and even stepped in to defend him to her sister, eventually leading to the two reconciling.

Even with their past problems, it appears that Scott's latest actions have changed the Kardashian sister's opinion of him.
