Scrapbooking can be so addicting. I love to scrap book but I have a hard time funding my hobby. Scrapbooking can get really expensive. Well, I am here to tell you with a little imagination, you can create embellishments for your pages with stuff you may already have in your bedroom and bathroom. Search your home and I am sure you will find plenty of items to help you create beautiful and professional looking scrapbook pages. Some of the items you may find in the bedroom and bathroom to help you with your pages are:

Bandages - These are nice if you have if you are doing a page on boo boos.

Children's art - it is also nice to show off your child's artwork in your books

Clothing remnants - Use them to add texture and borders to your photos

Playing cards - Fun for game pages

Cotton Balls - did anyone call for the Easter Bunny?

Misc. board game pieces - also fun to scrap in your game day pages

Nail polish - use to color your pieces, it adds variety to your book

Make up - also used for shading and color variety

Dental floss - great for tags and stringing things together

Other items include: bobby pins, coloring books, buttons, old jewelry, puzzle pieces, play money, safety pins, and shoelaces

This is just a few of the items you can find in your bedroom and bathroom that will really add to your scrapbook pages. Look around your home and I am sure you will find dozens of more items to add life into your pages that will not cost you a thing! Remember its all about putting your trash into treasured items. There are several websites you may be interested in searching for that will give you more ideas to add some life and variety into your pages to keep your memories lasting forever.

You do not have to put a lot of money into your scrapbook pages. If you are creative you will be able to think of a lot of creative ways to add embellishments that will bring that extra sparkle into your pages. Embellishments are not cheap, and the average cost into one page could be over $10 just for the embellishments. Being creative, or creating embellishments in bulk will help you cut the costs, but not the quality of your book. Have fun creating your scrapbook and be sure to show it off to all of your friends and family when you are finished!

I met Leanne Bloms and her husband James Bloms through Elance. They ended up stealing 92 of my articles and posting them to an Internet article directory (much like this one). Leanne owes me just under five hundred dollars for all of my hard work. She fools people into doing her writing for her because she's too lazy and greedy to do the work on her own. A disgusting human being.

Here's a great way to save money on scrapbooking supplies, brought to you by our own Leanne Bloms, well known on the Cricut message board. First, post on the boards that you're hosting swaps and have people spend MONTHS putting inchies and twinchies together, using their own money. Then, have them mail them to you, along with cash and postage because they were fooled into thinking they were going to receive the swaps back. Then, keep the swaps, keep the postage, and keep the money. You will instantly have 100,000 FREE embellishments along with cash and postage, all yours for FREE! What a great idea you've had, Leanne - we all admire you so.
